Pastor Quimat’s Testimony
My name is Jerry, and I was raised in a Christian family here in the Philippines. At the age of twelve, I committed my life to God and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and was baptized. While in high school, I had kidney problems and almost died. I was in the hospital for days and was transferred to another hospital, but my situation did not improve. I asked the Lord what His plan was for my life? I prayed for His perfect will and also asked God what he wanted me to do? I felt a firm conviction of the Holy Spirit and asked God to heal me and save me from death if his plan was for me to be in ministry. After I prayed, I experienced the hand of God in my life. The Lord healed me from my kidney problem, and the doctor was amazed at my recovery. I was discharged from the hospital, and my body was healed. I went back to high school and finished my studies, after high school, I enrolled in Bible school. It took me three years to complete my studies, once I was ready, I started working in a ministry, and I have been doing God’s work until this day.
Recent Ministry:
We held a celebration of Thanksgiving with the whole congregation from our church, and the various Bible studies meeting on Olango Island. Many people testified about their experiences in obeying God and the blessings He bestowed on them. They were grateful despite the trials, the ups, and downs, discouragements or disappointments because these made them stronger and firmer in their faith.
As a result, they continue to serve God with joy and faithfulness because of the blessing of salvation. They recognize Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. The testimonies gave me the strength and joy to continue in the ministry and were a blessing to all listening. Praise the Lord!
This group of young people are happy to serve God. They are eager and willing to teach the children and participate in the music. They are not ashamed of their youth. I pray that they will be used by God to bring more youth and children to faith in Jesus Christ.
On our way to the Christmas retreat for the White Field’s pastors and families, our journey had an unexpected twist. While my family and I were driving, our car stopped working. It was unexpected and then when I tried to start it again, it still did not work. So, I called pastor Cris and he got a ride for my family to the venue. I stayed for a few more minutes and was picked up by pastor Lito because pastor Cris’ car was full.
We had a great time of fellowship at the retreat and were refreshed by the presence of God. On our way home, we again tried the car without success. I found an expert in mechanical things, and we worked on it for two more days, then towed it home to fix it here. I am thankful that nothing bad happened to my family or the car during this adventure. And I am happy to say that the car is now fixed and fully functional.
