December 2015
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We thank God indeed for our families in the church.
We have a family composed of five members who have struggles in attending our Sunday service because of their business. The husband, Brother Elvin, and his wife, Sister Roda, have a small market stall. They cannot close it because of their stall contract. This family loves to serve the Lord, especially Brother Elvin. The Lord is currently working in their spiritual lives as they are faithful in their prayer life and they are also consistent in their study of the Word of God. They came to know Christ through Brother Elvin’s brother who shared with them the Gospel. Brother Elvin and his wife accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and they continued in worshipping and loving the Lord. We help them to grow in their walk with the Lord by continually praying for them and by nourishing them with the Word of God through Bible studies in their home.
- Please pray for Brother Elvin and Sister Roda, that the Lord may give them grace, and that the whole family may be able to attend the Sunday Worship service. Pray that they will remain committed in following Jesus.
Sister Arlene, a widow at the age of 40, has five children. She and her children are members in our church. Though their attendance in not consistent, they love the Lord so much and they have donated two microphones to the church.
- Please pray for Sister Arlene and her children, that they will grow in the Lord and be faithful to the church, and that we can minister to them effectively.
Brother Mac is one of our young people in the church and he is new in the faith. He came to know the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior when he celebrated his birthday. We told him it was not a coincidence because God, in His due time, knew that he was ripe for the harvest.
- Please pray that Brother Mac will be committed to following Jesus as he is now involved in the young people’s ministry.
We had an opportunity to do evangelism work during “All Souls Day.” This is a time where people flock to the cemetery to visit the tomb of their departed loved ones. We took the opportunity to distribute Gospel tracts through the help of our young people. We also had a service where we shared the Gospel of Christ to a relative of one of our church members. After the message, I challenged those who were listening during the preaching, if they wanted to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, and if they wanted to have eternal life with Him. We distributed Gospel tracts after the prayer for their acceptance.
- Please pray as we plan for follow-up work for these people to know Jesus more through our ministry.
