October 2017
Every Sunday during church our children learn Bible stories, songs, memory verses and receive a meal. The volunteers in Kasunduan Commonwealth and Purok 9 Payatas Quezon City are investing their time with the children. This coming Christmas we are teaching the children to pray through wishes for gifts. We believe God will answer their prayers and the children will receive their gifts. Please continue to pray for the children and us so that each child will be blessed this season.
We continue to have worship services in five different homes. Continue to pray that the people will grow in the knowledge of the Lord. We are also praying for our church building; we believe that God will provide the resources for this work. As I minister to different people, I realize that our church members have many life issues. Pray for us as we pray for each person in our church.
During a recent seminar, we focused on prayer and praying for people’s healing and deliverance. Benilda Alban’s shared his testimony about his son who was ill and was not able to move on his own because of seizures he would experience. However, when we began praying for him, he was healed. In the past six months, he has not had a seizing episode.
In October I performed a funeral service and had the opportunity to share the gospel with hundreds of people and distributed the (navigators gospel) coins to the family members. Even though the event was a sad one, the blessing is that everyone who attended heard the gospel. Pastor Danny invited me to speak at his church, and the focused bible verse was 1 Cor. 15:58. Right mindset needs a right Attitude, Action, and Anticipation.
Plans for this year:
- Planting household churches through contacts in Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Tanglaw Foundation ng Buhay, and other partners for reaching more people.
- Additional means to generate money for the church building project as the Lord enables us.
Prayer Items:
- Pray for me that I would have the strength and the energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be a useful community organizer.
- Continue to pray for our household churches and Genesis Multi-Purpose to be registered. Pray for the budget.
- Pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible Studies.
- Pray for the support from our partner presbytery, for the Gangbuk Presbytery in South Korea to sponsor a building project for the church, to serve as a place for worship in that area and a place to house the Genesis Multi-purpose Cooperative.
- Continue praying for the protection and welfare of my family.
God bless you all, Pastor Virgilio A. Delas Armas JLPC
September 2017
Our members attended the Kidstory Seminar in September at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Holy Spirit Quezon City. The children who attended were from Kasunduan, Payatas, and Katuparan. They represented the household church in Quezon City. The Kidstory Seminar taught a new strategy in reaching children by telling Bible stories. It is designed to teach children to capture the story and retell the story to other children. The Wycliffe Bible translators partnered with our Presbyterian church for the training. We are praying that our children learned and are excited to present the new bible story strategy to other children.
We have more than 70 children praying to receive their Christmas gift for Christmas. We are raising money and sponsors for the children’s ministry. Most of them belong to the poverty line in Payatas, Commonwealth, and Batasan area. Please pray that each child will be sponsored and that they will receive a gift for Christmas. Each child is praying; please help me pray that each child will be blessed this year.
Our church members continue to pray for a church building. Hopefully by the grace of God through continuous prayer, our church building project will happen. I am still training church members in the outreach for the gospel program. I involve them in attending different seminars for exposure and leadership. This October, they will attend a Healing and Deliverance Seminar.
The USAPANG MAG-ASAWA(Couples’ Talk), a ministry without boundary
I have a FaceBook page that is reaching thousands of couples in the Philippines and around the world. Currently, I have 11,743 people who are linked up to my Facebook blog. I write a daily blog regarding couples issues and pray every day for them before I post the blog. I also counsel online in the different parts of the world. I am working on a project were hopefully by the end of the year the UMA (Usapang Mag-asawa) pocketbook is released. It is a collection of inquiries and counseling notes that can help people resolve the problems in their marriages. We will have testimonies to encourage others. In addition to this, the upcoming seminar is scheduled for couples; the book that I am now writing can be a vehicle to finance the church building project.
One of the UMA members sent me 100 dollars because she believes that the online ministry is an encouragement for many people. I am encouraged that God is using different people from different areas to open doors. Please help me pray that this project will be an encouragement and will continue to flourish.
Please keep praying for my family and me. I praise the Lord.

August 2017
We continue to meet in different homes for church services, in-spite of the difficulties we encounter. God provided me a new Laptop for my ministry, which will help me with my preparations. We continue to pray for the church building project and the donations we need. We will continue to pray and expect that the church building will happen in God’s timing.
Our children in Sunday school are excited because of the preparations for this coming Christmas. We are organizing a list of 100 children in different household churches who will be asked their Christmas wish, as well as what their future aspirations are. We encouraged the students to pray for the sponsors who will provide a gift for these children. As of this week, we had 39 children in Kasunduan, 30 children in Purok, 9 children in Payatas. We are praying that more children will submit their request and would like to participate in this project.
In connection with the children’s ministry, we will send four of our young people to attend a Kid Story seminar to learn a method of children’s evangelism.
I never stop sharing the gospel, and I use the gospel coins as a tool to share. Among the many people I have shared the coins with, I recently shared with two people who received Jesus Christ. Their names are Elizabeth and Christine Joy. I share the gospel coins at the markets, gasoline stations, stores and different places where ever an opportunity arises. I shared them with my members and children as well. I received about 300 hundred coins from my friend, and I am now running out. I ordered 2000 more coins from Village Ministry International. I pray that they will arrive as soon as possible.
I am teaching in our Newly found Presbyterian Theological Seminary of Manila. I currently teach once a week, I was elected as Vice Moderator in NCRP-NM, and by next year I will be the Moderator, Publication Chairman in our General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the Philippines. These responsibilities have made me prayerfully balance the projects I am working on; however, church planting is still the top priority for me.
PLANS FOR THIS YEAR 2017:
- Continue planting household churches through contacts in Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Tanglaw Foundation Buhay, and other partners.
- Prayer and ideas on other possible means to generate funds for the church building project as the Lord enables us.
- To open up a Campus ministry in Commonwealth High School in partnership with Lambat Ministry in reaching students.

- Continue praying for the protection and welfare of my family.

I am grateful to have a partner in you helping me share the Gospel. May the Lord continue to bless you all.

July 2017
On July 8, we had a total of eight people attend the Simbahay gathering. They will continue to meet on Saturday’s from 10am to 11am. Ramon and Pearl will host our worship service. We had the Apostle’s Creed reading along with songs, opening prayer, preaching, offering, and testimonies. Ramon, who designed our church viewpoint testified that the idolatry that his wife held on to for many years was now discarded. He was happy that at last his wife obeyed him and started to realign their family beliefs. Though they have financial problems, they are trusting God. Pearl gave her testimony regarding their mortgage, and their debtor’s. God has helped them through the people.
Our first Payatas household church will have Saturday worship from 1:00-2:00 pm. On July 8, they had 12 people attend. Our worship service is the same pattern as the other groups. However, we had children from OCC who had received Christmas gifts. These children received the Lord Jesus Christ and are now attending bible study. Rosemarie Robledo was the host of this household church, and we noticed that next to her house was a vacant lot. We will observe this place to see if we can put up a tent for the church service or the children’s service.
Lulu Berrou was the host of the second Payatas household church which is meeting every Sunday from 1-2 pm. The pattern of worship is the same as the first Payatas household church. The worship had six adults and twelve children.
Roselyn and Reynaly are some of the youth who volunteered to teach the children at the Kasunduan Extension Church. They ended their Biblical curriculum teaching on water baptism. We will have 30 out of 56 children graduating in August. The kids have worked very hard in memorizing bible verses, learning songs, and Bible stories.
Kapalaran church will start their schedule the first Saturday of August. Please pray that we could receive a new laptop to use for the worship service. The LCD of our laptop has broke and needs to be repaired.
We have another group in Commonwealth at Sto Nino’s household church who will be scheduled soon. Batasan Hills church is on going, while the other group in Batasan hosted by Malou will start soon.
On July 4th through July 7th, I participated in prayer and fasting at PBWI (Philippine Biblical Worldview Institute) in General Trias Cavite for four days. The place was serene and wonderful. You may ask why I fasted. I desired to see what laid ahead for our church planting, what I should do, as well as prayed for my family. I realized that I need to pray and fast for spiritual growth of the people who are being taught the bible, being healed, and delivered from demonic influence. God’s power is desperately needed in this work. No human effort will succeed without God’s power. If three days is not enough, there will be more days for prayer and fasting, and we will see how God’s church is built. Join me in this endeavor! This would be like Jacob’s prayer, “I will not let you go until you bless me.” However, our program and projects still need to be prayed over. I wish I could have gone again on July 26th during my birthday, but I had to do go earlier because my visa had been denied when I was going to South Korea to attend an International Holy Spirit Conference.
One of our Fundraisers is through the publication of booklets entitled “Droplets” by Gem Delas Armas. It is a collection of poems reflected from thoughts of my wife during her growing up in the Lord. She wanted to share the 50% of the proceed of the book sale. May you include this in your prayers.
Answered prayers:
- We placed a tutorial class for children in Kasunduan as a means of reaching more children and family. It is in partnership with Mission Ministries for Children. Their studies show that children are more receptive to the gospel than adults.
- We added three Bible Studies in Commonwealth, thank you for your prayers.
- Please continue to pray for deliverance for household churches (this has been partially answered.) We will continue to plant household churches through contacts in Pantawid and Pamilyang Pilipino Programs, Tanglaw Foundation and Buhay. We will partner with other connections for reaching more people.
- My wife is planning to retire by July to help in the ministry as the Lord will allow. Please continue to pray that she will be able to retire at the scheduled time. We would like to open a Campus ministry in Commonwealth High School in partnership with Lambat Ministry in reaching students; please pray that this will go well.
- Please pray that the household gatherings will become a church plant.
Prayer items:
- Pray for me that I would have the strength and the energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be an effective community organizer.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches and Genesis Multi- Purpose building, that we can register, also pray for our budget.
- Please pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid and Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our bible studies.
- Pray for the support from our partner in Presbytery, and for the Gangbuk Presbytery in South Korea. That they would sponsor a building project for the church that would serve as a place of worship in that area.
- Also, continue to pray for a place to house the Genesis Multi-Purpose Cooperative (this had been partially answered.)
- Continue praying for the protection and welfare of my family.
- Prayer for the realization of my expected financial blessings.
- Praying for all the possibilities to plant the church.

May 2017
I am planting a household church in Kasunduan Extension Commonwealth, Quezon City. Merlinda was suffering from insomnia and had testified that there was a man who was trying to seduce her and make her his wife, she also believed that he performed witchcraft on her. The man would always say to her, “you will be mine.” She confessed what was taking place in her life, and during prayer time, the spirit of idolatry and anger manifested in her, and we prayed a prayer of deliverance. When I asked what was happening during the prayer session, she said, “I felt fire and numbness in both hands, and felt like I was choking and it was hard to breathe.” She was sweating and felt weak, but after she regained strength. She was free and got the courage to rebuke the man who continued to seduce her. I prayed for blessings, and protection over her.
Perlas is a member at Katuparan Household church in Commonwealth Quezon City. She constantly complained that she felt sick all the time, and her stomach was always aching. Perlas went to the medical center and was told by the doctor that she had no traces of sickness in her body. One day Perlas partner decided to join our weekly bible study, it was at this time that it was revealed to me that Perlas was not married, and she was hiding an idol in her room. It was also revealed to me that she was in debt.
Two months later, they had a civil wedding, and after two months their house was seized by the debtor. The house was pawned for 100 hundred thousand with interest, but they were given a few weeks to pay. She testified that God is so good to them. God saved them from eviction. However, we learned that Perlas was still holding on to some of her old ways. Ramon revealed that she was still hanging out with her old friends and drinking. During Bible study, we read John 10:10 “Abundant Life with Jesus,” we prayed for deliverance, and a week later Perlas threw away her idols in the trash and testified that God was right, and this time she seemed to understand and believe that God is good.

March 2017
Greetings, my fellow brothers, and sisters in Christ. We see the Lord’s power and are grateful for your prayers.
Here our some of our plans for this year:
- Fundraising through a publication of booklets entitled “Droplets” by Gem Delas Armas. It is a collection of poems reflected from thoughts of my wife during her growing up in the Lord.
- Beginning a tutorial class for children in Kasunduan as a means for sharing the Gospel with families. It is in partnership with Mission Ministries for Children. Their studies show that Children are more receptive to the gospel than adults.
- Continue planting household churches through contacts in Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Tanglaw Foundation ng Buhay, and other partners for reaching more people.

- My wife is planning to retire by July to help me more in the ministry as the Lord will allow.
- To open up a Campus ministry in Commonwealth High School in partnership with Lambat Ministry in reaching students
- To add three more home Bible studies.
At the beginning of March, two Korean sponsors pledged a budget to build us a church building in Kasunduan, Commonwealth Quezon City. They arrived on Thursday, March 9, 2017, and visited the location we would like the JLPC building to be built. They took a picture of the place and proposed building perspectives. Their Mission Committee will convene upon the submission of the proposed construction project. Hopefully, by God’s sovereign will and grace, this project will come to fruition.
Our six household churches need deliverance prayers. Demonic powers are still active in the lives of our members. Teaching and Bible studies are needed, but powerful encounters with Jesus are necessary today to free them from bondage. I need your prayers for this kind of ministry to the churches.
On March 6, 2017, we visited the offices of the six senators with the General Secretary. As the Publication Chairman, I collaborated with the Office of GAPCP for upcoming 30th Anniversary of GAPCP on June 12. The Publication Committee will publish our Souvenir Program.
On March 14, 2017, we dedicated one of the newly built churches in Morong Rizal, the Ulsan Love Presbyterian Church sponsored by Koreans partners in our presbytery. As a recording Clerk, I reported all the events to our presbytery.
March 22, I attended a Pastor’s Enhancement Seminar which examined the centrality of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
However, despite many schedules and commitment, church planting has remained the top priority of my ministry.
Prayer Items:
- Pray for me that I would have the strength and the energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be an active community organizer.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches and Genesis Multi-Purpose to be registered.
- Please pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible Studies.
- Pray for the support from our partner presbytery, for the Gangbuk Presbytery in South Korea to sponsor a building project for the church, to serve as a place of worship in that area and a place to house the Genesis Multi-purpose Cooperative.
- Continue praying for the protection and welfare of my family.
- Prayer for the realization of my expected financial blessings.
God bless you all.

February 2017
Hello from the Philippines, we are grateful for our supports across the sea. Join us as we prayerfully pursue several goals for the coming year.

Two of our potential deacons Merlinda and Ailyn attended a workshop on February 7, 2017, at JILL Presbyterian Church. These two ladies and their families are moving to the new location which is nearby our household church.
Merlinda, our treasurer, is thankful for her new life in the Lord. She was experiencing challenges in her faith. There was a man who tried to curse her with a spell to control her and destroy her marriage. She courageously rebuked the man in the name of Jesus, that man who was under demon witchcraft finally said I free you. She was truly grateful to Jesus for His power and protection.
Our prayer deliverance ministry will start soon through the power of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for me fervently because the demonic spirits are visible in our household churches. We are in need of more prayer because the spiritual battle is growing in intensity and many more difficulties and problems are directed at us. Demonic manifestations are real. Hindrances and spiritual lethargy are felt by us here on the ground, but we are claiming that these six house churches will be established.
Prayer Items:
- Pray for me that I would have the strength and the energy to continue the church planting work in the area and to be an active community organizer.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches.
- Pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond, positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible Studies.
- Praying for all the possibilities to plant the church.
God bless you, all.

January 2017
I give thanks for this last year of God’s providence we experienced; the Lord did not fail us. My family is well despite moving several times from one place to another. My sons gained employment to well-paying jobs, and my daughter is going to school and recovering from her depression. My ministry continues in spite of the many challenges I face. Through your prayers, I felt the presence of the Lord in the good times and hard times.
Here are some of the plans we have made for the coming year:
- Fundraising through the publication of booklets entitled “Droplets” by Gem Delas Armas. It is a collection of poems written by my wife as she grew in the knowledge of the Lord. She will donate 50% of the proceeds of her book sales.
- Teaching a tutorial class for children in Kasunduan as a means of reaching more children and family with the Gospel. It is in partnership with Mission Ministries for Children; their studies show that Children can be more receptive to the gospel than adults.
- Continue planting household churches through contacts in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Tanglaw Foundation Buhay, and other partners desiring to reach more people with the Gospel.
- My wife is planning to retire by July to help me more in the ministry as the Lord will allow.
On March 22, 2017, the Korean missionaries will come to visit our household worship. They were the ones who pledged to give us a 400k for a church building project in Kasunduan Extension City. We will continue to pray that God will answer our prayers to have our the building be a center for teaching, discipling, and training people to know more about God. I am teaching six groups in different areas in Payatas, Commonwealth and Batasan, plans and reality are not always the same but I believe God will make it the same for us. Through continuous prayer, everything will come into reality.
Prayer items:
- Pray for me that I will have the strength and energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be an effective community organizer.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches and Genesis Multi-Purpose to be registered.
- Pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible Studies.

- Praying for possibilities to plant new churches.
God bless you, all.

December 2016
Greetings! I would like to share with you about my visit to South Korea. My friend, Rev. Robert Fabia and I, as the elected Recording Clerk/Secretary of North Manila Presbytery, went to South Korea as official delegates of our National Capital Region Presbytery North Metro, to attend the state meeting of Gangbuk Presbytery. We stayed in South Korea until early November.
During our visit, Gangbuk Presbytery donated an offering to JLPC for our church building project in Commonwealth, Quezon City. When we visited Juilbong Youngnak Presbyterian Church, they also made a donation for the church. Praise God! I also had the opportunity to give a message at Lord Heavens Presbyterian Church. They also gave me a love offering. I am so grateful for the show of generosity.
The raising of funds for the building project seems impossible to some, as many members come from poor families, but with God, it is possible. I teach about faith and prayer. This is God’s work and if it is in His time, it will be accomplished in His ways not ours. Those who have donated to the church building project will be able to visit us again in February to see our progress.
We are also amazed with what God is doing in their churches, and the hospitality they have shown us during our stay. They have beautiful church facilities, and they have daily dawn prayer meetings, in which we attended when we visited Gil Church.
- Please continue to join us in praying for the church building.
I would also like to share with you the testimony of Babylyn. She shared with us that her childhood was very difficult because of parental abuse, which caused her to hate her parents. She was beaten every time she failed to comply with her household chores like fetching water, house cleaning, and gleaning leftovers in the rice field. Her life was not happy, and that caused her to leave her family and go to Manila. In Manila, she found work as a house helper. Later, she became engaged to a military man who ended up marrying another woman, instead of her. She also told us about suffering from starvation because of the negligence of her supposed-to-be husband. She, along with her two children, almost starved to death due to lack of food, which caused her depression and eventually led to her separation from him. Thus, she worked, lived, and managed to raise her two children through the wearisome work of doing laundry for her neighbors. Now, she is fifty-one and has two adult children.
One day, she came to our household church through the invitation of one of our members, Marlenie, who knew a lot about her life. Babylyn has now been with the church for almost a year now. When I asked her about our weekly worship service, she said, “I have accepted Jesus Christ, and when I die, I will go to heaven.” She is confident of her salvation. When I asked her about her biggest hope, she said, “That my children and my family will have a relationship with God”. She desires to share and teach the Word of God to others. She shared with me that she has learned valuable lessons from the Word of God.
Babylyn’s testimony is just one of the stories among many women in the community who have suffered from depression, but have found hope in Jesus Christ.
- Please pray for Babylyn, that God will use her in mighty ways.
I would like to share with you about an update on a new house church. One group in Purok 9, Payatas, expressed the desire to have a church service in their house and they are willing for their third floor area to be used every Sunday for worship. Members of this group come from different background of faiths, and I pray that what I teach is understood well. There are still some unclear issues regarding idolatry with members of this group, but they are willing to listen to the Word of God.
- Please pray for this new household church and for more opportunities for multiplication.
- Pray for me that I would have the strength and the energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be an effective community organizer.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches and that the Genesis Multi-Purpose program will be registered.
- Please pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible Studies.
- Please continue to pray for the protection and welfare of my family.
God bless you all!
April 2016
My FDS (Family Development Sessions) continued this month for the thirteen clusters of the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). FDS is a project anchored on the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). The beneficiaries of 4Ps are required to attend FDS. Since I am a bona fide lecturer of FDS, I incorporate the teachings of the bible in my lectures. The Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is a governmental program that provides grants to the poor to help aid and improve the health, nutrition, and education of children from ages 0-18. There is a lot of work going on to gather people for the church, for visitation, and for Bible studies. Breaking down old beliefs in the lives of these people has been really difficult, only the power of the Word of God can make a difference in their lives.
• Please pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid ng Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bibles studies.
• Continue to pray for the thirteen coordinators to be more open to the Word of God and to be an encouragement to their group members.
• Pray for God to soften the hearts of people that are hearing the Word of God, that it will break down their old belief system.
There are three projects that I would like to share with you that are in need of a miracle from God. The first one is the Community Mortgage Program’s (CMP). CMP recipients are informal settlers in Batasan Hills and Commonwealth, Quezon City. Our church members were all beneficiaries of this program. Our plan is to buy one acre of land here in San Mateo, Rizal, and relocate our members and build a community there. Little-by-little, God is working on this. Many of our members are praying every day for this.
• Please continue to pray that God would make this possible.
The second project is the Genesis Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This cooperative is designed to benefit members of the community that I am ministering in. Potential cooperative members are members of our house churches. We need to organize this properly, and there is still plenty of work to be done to make this project a reality. We also need the right people to be its officers.
• Please pray for the Genesis Multi-Purpose Cooperative to be registered and for a place to house it. Pray for the right people to be its officers.
Both of these programs, as well as for the new church building (the third project), need budget/financial provisions and other logistics. We are praying personally and also at our Wednesday prayer meeting for these. It is amazing how God gives solutions for our projects. I have also received a MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) from the owner of the property we are selling.
• Please pray for God to provide a miracle and send us the right people to make these plans materialize. Pray that God allows this deal to finance all of our projects. Pray for different ways to generate funds for the plans and programs.
• Pray for potential support from our partner presbytery, Gangbuk Presbytery in South Korea, to sponsor a building project for the church; that it will serve as a place of worship in that area.
Home Bible Studies (HBS) are still on-going as are my other activities, such as being a volunteer instructor of Church History at the Ezra Bible Institute, and being the recording clerk of our presbytery and Sunday preacher at our household church in Kasunduan, Quezon City. We are praying that we will have additional Bibles studies and also develop some Bible leaders.
• Please pray for the two household churches and their worship services, additional Bible studies, and leaders too.
I continue doing home Bible studies, visitations, and making disciples, but I do not neglect my family responsibilities. I need prayer in truly establishing a local church and ensuring that the programs will remain, even after I pass away.
• Please pray for my strength, and for me to accomplish my work as a church planter, in planting the church. Pray that I will be an effective community organizer.
• Continue to pray for the protection and welfare of my family.
God Bless you all!
March 2016
There is a new Bible study group in the area of Ilang-ilang in Batasan Hills, Quezon City. We had seven people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior! I asked them the assurance question, “Suppose you are going to die, are you sure that you are going to heaven?” They answered, “Not sure.” They believed that salvation is through good works. Many of them were Catholic, but were unsure of their salvation. So I explained to them again the Gospel. They finally understood the message of salvation and followed me when I said the sinner’s prayer. This Bible study group is near one of our existing household churches.
- Please pray for this new group to continue being responsive to the teaching of the Bible. All Bible study groups/fellowships need more teachings.
Sunday service continues in Kasunduan. We regularly have worship service every Sunday and prayer meetings every Wednesday. Our communion service is once a month. Our members have great testimonies of changed lives and answered prayers. There have been three areas that have been the focus of our prayers: our Community Mortgage Program (CMP, which is a project for housing informal settlers), Genesis (our multi-purpose cooperative), and the construction of our church building. All household Bible studies/fellowship will be housed in one place. We are envisioning an active and vibrant church characterized by loving God and learning His word.
- Please pray with us for God’s blessings to be upon us.
- Please pray for these three areas as well as provision in financing the projects that we have.
- Please continue to pray for our household churches.
- Please pray for Genesis Multipurpose Cooperative to be registered.
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino is scheduled to meet next month (White Fields note: This program’s goal is to help eradicate extreme poverty in the Philippines by investing in health and education especially in ages 0–14). These people belong to the marginalized sector that really needs empowerment. They testified that the lectures and seminars where the Word of God was being taught helped them a lot.
- Please pray that our new contacts in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino program would respond positively to the Word of God and be encouraged to join our Bible studies.
We were able to purchase our own home in San Mateo, Rizal, and plan to transfer to the new house in two years. The place is fifteen minutes away from my mission field in San Mateo, Rizal, which is nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains. There is a beautiful view of the mountain ranges with clean and cool air, and lots of resorts. An update on my sons; Gibbor is working as a Human Resource Associate, and Daniel is working as a Customer Service Representative.
As a church planter, we have many roles: to be a model leader, teacher, pastor, counselor, organizer, mentor, provider, father, and husband. It is really hard to be “Superman,” but even though we are just human, we can be energized by the power of God everyday. As Paul says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
- Please pray for me that I would have the strength and energy to continue the church planting work in the area, and to be an effective community organizer.
- Please pray for the support from our partner presbytery (Gangbuk Presbytery in South Korea) in sponsoring a building project for a household church in Barangay Commonwealth. It has an area of 35 square meters that will serve as a place for worship (for the community) as well as be a place to house the Genesis Multipurpose Cooperative.
- Please pray for the protection, finances, and welfare of my family.
Thank you for your prayers and partnership in this mission, God bless you all!
