Arnel Gabon

Pastor Gabon’s Testimony

After my conversion, I became active in my home church, participating in the ministries of evangelism and Bible studies, and I participated in youth activities. One day during our fellowship, we were going to do a personal devotion, and I meditated on the passage of Acts 1:8, which says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” From that passage, I was fully convinced that the work of the Lord is huge, and I felt that God was calling me to be a witness to his wonderful word of life. I shared with the church leaders that I should do more for the Lord, and they prayed for me. Eight months later, with the advice and support of the church, I decided to go to the Bible College to further my training and preparation for the ministry that God called me to do, which was in the year 2000.  After I graduated from the Bible School, I was privileged to work at one of the Christian companies whose mission is to help people in all aspects of life. I thank the Lord for almost ten years of experience working in the community as a minister of the gospel, and I was able to plant a church by God’s grace. Joy, excitement, and God’s calling are the reasons why I keep doing God’s ministry; I find so much meaning and fulfillment in serving the Lord. I praise God for how he uses other people and circumstances to equip and prepare me to do even more for His kingdom’s purposes.

Recent Ministry:

EQUIPPING THE SERVANT

Our weekly mentorship with the ministry team has become more meaningful. This month, each of them faced significant challenges in their ministry. The parents are no longer attending Bible study due to marital issues, health concerns, and financial struggles. Our weekly meeting provides a safe space where they share their struggles in the ministry. We thank God because, through these gatherings, the workers are encouraged, equipped, and strengthened in their faith, character, and sense of purpose, enabling them to serve with dedication and integrity. When spiritually equipped, they become more resilient in facing challenges, gain wisdom to make sound decisions, and develop compassion to treat others respectfully and kindly. This nurtures unity, builds trust, and deepens their commitment to their calling, helping them excel in their tasks, and inspire and uplift those around them. September presents another opportunity for them to connect and be God’s instruments for proclaiming the Gospel in the community.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for God’s working power as they continue to share his word
  • Pray for wisdom in handling problems and struggles among members
  • Pray for spiritual growth and closeness to God
  • Pray for safety and God’s provision

Children Growing in God’s Love

Each week, the children continued to grow not only in knowledge but also in faith and understanding as they eagerly listened to and reflected on the stories from God’s Word; with every lesson, they uncovered new truths about His love, wisdom, and guidance, which helped them develop stronger values, deeper trust, and a greater sense of purpose in their daily lives, shaping their character and nurturing their spiritual journey in meaningful and lasting ways.

Sherine, 5 years old, is the fourth member of the family. She is shy, quiet, and observant—a gentle child. Now, she is one of the responsive children, actively involved, and participating by asking questions about the story. She is also learning how to pray. We praise God for her growth. God allows these children to grow caring and loving through His word shared every week. Glory to God!

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for God’s provision every week
  • Pray for good health and safety every day
  • Pray for spiritual growth and develop friendships with each other
  • Pray for fun and weekly activities that the children will enjoy and learn from

BIBLE HIGHLIGHTING FOR KIDS

Another opportunity for church members and LLCC Church to receive training on how to study the scriptures. The training focused on “Bible highlighting.” My kids, Channel, and Shem were excited to use different colors to highlight each phrase or sentence from the scripture. It was full of fun and excitement, and hearing their feedback on the training was a blessing. So, Bible highlighting is a valuable practice for devotion and spiritual growth because it helps them engage more deeply with Scripture, making it easier to reflect on God’s Word and apply it to daily life. By using different colors to mark key themes such as God’s promises, commands, encouragements, prayers, or lessons, individuals can organize their study and quickly revisit passages that speak to their current needs. This intentional method strengthens understanding and allows them to track spiritual insights over time, fostering a more personal connection with God. As a result, Bible highlighting becomes more than just a study tool — it becomes a way to nurture faith, cultivate consistent devotion, and grow spiritually through a richer and more meaningful interaction with the Word of God. Praise God!

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for spiritual discipline and growth.
  • Pray that they will continue to be faithful in their time with God
  • Pray that they will help others, too

God’s Work in the Mountains

Pastor Ronel’s passion for sharing God’s Word with his community is inspiring. As a tribe leader and pastor, he gathers people in the mountains and explains God’s excellent plan. His dedication to learning and growing in his faith is evident, and seeing his impact is amazing. Recently, eight people in his community received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and it’s a testament to Pastor Ronel’s hard work and God’s power working in their lives.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that God will prepare them for the harvest
  • Pray for spiritual growth and knowledge in the scripture
  • Pray for God’s daily provision
  • Pray for safety as we begin to engage in the community work

A Hunger for More Team Development

One of the greatest joys I experience as a gospel minister is seeing God’s people rise up and lead well. I consider it a blessing to watch their growth and support them in their calling. During our weekly meetings and follow-ups, I have seen firsthand the challenges they face in leading children, youth, and Bible study groups. These struggles remind me of the need to improve and develop the skills necessary for effective ministry continually.

Because of this, I prayerfully planned to send them for training so they could further expand their knowledge, sharpen their gifts, and strengthen their ability to lead with excellence. By God’s grace, this event became a great source of encouragement. Everyone left not only happy and blessed but also equipped with new insights, practical skills, and renewed confidence in managing themselves and the ministry entrusted to them.

Truly, we give all glory to God for allowing us to take part in this journey of growth and service for His kingdom.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for wisdom and encouragement as they lead the ministry
  • Pray for spirit-filled fellowship and group Bible study
  • Pray for growth and a transforming community
  • Pray for protection and provision

Silent Heroes, Unshakable Women Bonds

There are silent heroes in every home — women whose love is woven into every meal prepared, every prayer whispered, and every burden quietly borne. Their work is not only physical; it is emotional, spiritual, and rooted in deep sacrifice. They nurture families, hold households together, and shape the next generation, often without recognition but gracefully.

Recently, our women were given a beautiful opportunity: to fellowship with sisters from other churches. It was more than just an event — a celebration of faith, friendship, and shared purpose. They stepped into a wider circle of sisterhood for the first time, forming new friendships and finding encouragement in one another’s stories. Angelita, 56 years old, wearing vibrant pants, could participate for the first time. She used to stay at her house, taking care of the kids, and could not join any fellowship, but now she will and feels excited. She shared with me how hard her life is because of poverty, yet she tries to manage by the grace of God. The women laughed, prayed, and lifted each other up, discovering that though they came from different places, their hearts beat with the same rhythm of love and faith. They went home full of excitement and courage to be involved in discipleship in the community, hoping she would bring other women together. Praise God!

This story reminds us that women are not only the heart of the home but also the soul of the community. Their value is priceless, their presence a blessing, and their bond unbreakable. Praise God for their lives at home, church, and in the community.

Prayer request:

  • Pray that these women can minister to and encourage other women to join.
  • Pray for their spiritual growth.
  • Pray for wisdom and strength as they take care of their families.

Building Connections With The Families

Today, we were welcomed into another community to feed the children, and our hearts are full of gratitude to the Lord for opening this opportunity. Through these visits, we provide meals and form meaningful connections with the families in their homes.

This community, which God has opened to us, is truly a blessing. The children eagerly listened to the Bible story, their eyes shining with curiosity. Laughter filled the air as they joined in music and games, their joy as nourishing as the food we shared. The delicious meal brought smiles and full tummies, but more importantly, it conveyed God’s love to each child.

We praise the Lord for touching the hearts of those who provided the food and support that made this possible. We pray that God will continue to work in the lives of these children and extend His saving grace to their families as well. Truly, it is a joy to see His hand at work in this community.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for weekly blessings of provision to feed these children.
  • Pray that God’s word will grow in their hearts and lead to salvation.
  • Pray for their families for protection, safety, and provision.
  • Pray that God will open more opportunities to connect and build relationships.

Nina’s Story

Every person in our group and every home we visited was a living testimony to God’s outstanding work. One story that touched us deeply is Nina’s. Nina holds a Bible, is 38 years old, is married, and is a mother of three. Nina wasn’t used to opening up or talking about her life, but with gentle follow-up and care, she began to share her story. Watching her courage to open her heart was a powerful reminder of how God can heal and restore through connection and love. Now, Nina actively attends weekly Bible study and encourages others to join.  We cherish these moments and the privilege of seeing God work in our community. Glory to God.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for spiritual growth
  • Pray for healing and an open heart
  • Pray for the salvation of their family
  • Pray that they will be willing to attend our Sunday service

Door-to-Door Sharing of the Gospel

This month, our team partnered with friends from Memorial Bible Church (MBC) to proclaim God’s word in the community. We went door-to-door, sharing the Gospel with warmth and enthusiasm. Many families welcomed us into their homes and listened attentively to God’s Word. We were encouraged by the heartfelt responses, as many individuals accepted and believed in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This experience motivated church members to continue sharing the gospel in various locations. We praise God for this blessed opportunity to spread His love and bring hope to others, trusting in His faithfulness and grace to make every effort meaningful and impactful.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that God will transform those who accept Him.
  • Pray that more people will commit to serving the community.
  • Pray for protection and provision among community members.
  • Pray that God will use them to share the gospel within their families.

Nurturing Little Ones for God’s Glory

Children are a precious gift from God, reflecting His love and reminding us of His grace. As caretakers and mentors, we have a sacred responsibility to nurture, guide, and love them, helping each child develop into the unique individual God has created. Our weekly gatherings are filled with joy and laughter, creating memorable moments that inspire us to care for these little ones. This month, our children were thrilled to meet visitors from Memorial Bible Church (MBC), with some initially shy but later warming up to their new friends. We are grateful for the provisions MBC has provided for these children, including delicious food, and we praise God for His goodness and love shining through these interactions.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for these children that God will shape them through His word.
  • Pray for their families as well, so they will allow them to attend our weekly meetings.
  • Pray for all volunteers, asking for their willingness and passion to serve.
  • Pray for financial provision so we can provide weekly snacks.

Nash’s Story, From Purpose to Struggle

In today’s world, young people face unavoidable challenges and pressures that can cause them to focus on their success and dreams. However, amid this, they can easily lose sight of their place in a larger purpose. Nash, a 19-year-old, shared his personal struggles with family and school but chose to listen to God’s voice and let Him guide his steps and decisions. Although feeling insignificant and useless sometimes, God gently encouraged Nash to look beyond himself and serve others, seeking His purpose. Nash realized true happiness is not found in chasing fame or achievements but in trusting Jesus and surrendering his plans. In doing so, he discovered a lasting purpose filled with love, grace, and hope. The Memorial Bible Church (MBC) team played a crucial role in encouraging Nash and other young people through their testimonies and personal involvement. Their presence and support deeply impacted the youth, motivating them to get involved in ministry and missions. As a result, many of them have signed up to join the weekly ministry team, eager to serve and make a difference.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that God will empower them through His word and that they live only for Him.
  • Pray for wisdom and sound judgment in every decision they will make.
  • Pray that God will use them to reach out to their classmates and friends for Jesus.
  • Pray that God will bless their family materially and spiritually.

Pastor Paul and Cyndi’s Story – From Despair to Redemption

Pastor Paul and Cyndi shared a powerful vision with the women’s group, highlighting the gospel’s transformative power through their journey titled “From Crisis to the Cross.” They emphasized that life’s most difficult moments are often divine invitations for growth and renewal, not just setbacks. By reframing hardships as opportunities for God to show His presence and love, they encouraged women to see God’s mercy shining brightest in their darkest times. This perspective helped many realize that crises can lead to redemption, guiding them to the cross where hope is renewed and purpose is restored. The event was memorable, filled with excitement and anticipation, as women deepened their faith and understood how God’s grace can transform their lives. We praise God for these moments of revelation and connection, trusting His Word will continue to inspire and uplift all who seek Him.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that God will continue to reveal His plan for this woman.
  • Pray that during hardship, they will remember God’s word.
  • Pray for provision and protection among family members.
  • Pray that there will be light in the community.

THE EMPOWERED WOMEN

We praise God for this special event celebrating our dear women in the church and community. Our goal for this event is to connect and build positive relationships among the women in our community. The lesson they learn from scripture focuses on the story of a woman who bled for 12 years. From this story, the truth reveals that life consists of various struggles, pain, shame, and desperation; yet, like this woman, she hopes that someday she will be healed. During small group time, God ministers to each woman. It is powerful because they openly share their problems and pain. They cry, embrace one another, and pray together. It is meaningful how the small group leader connects them in such a special way. I felt their pain, struggles, and even their hopes. We ended the fellowship with a game, leaving everyone blessed and happy. Praise God! When women feel valued and capable, they are more likely to actively engage in their communities, workplaces, and families, often showing a willingness to serve others and contribute positively. Furthermore, empowered women can break free from traditional limitations and stereotypes, allowing them to pursue their passions and ambitions more freely. A healed woman is an Empowered One.

  • Pray that God will transform them
  • Pray that we will be able to attend our weekly Bible Study
  • Pray that God will use them to influence members of the family
  • Pray that there will be more women attending the next fellowship

SPENDING TIME TOGETHER IN GOD’S PRESENCE

Seeing excited people coming to the church for overnight prayer is encouraging. This gathering has become a cherished tradition, held annually, and it’s heartening to see its growth over the years. Last year, attendance was modest, with only a handful of participants, but this month has been a delightful contrast. A vibrant group has come together, many of whom are young individuals eager to dedicate their time and energy to prayer. Their passion and commitment fill the church with warmth and hope, inspiring others in our community to join in this meaningful experience. It’s a beautiful reminder of the power of faith and the bonds that prayer can forge among us. It is also a preparation in which all of us are involved in community development work. Praising God for this opportunity.

  • Pray for growth and personal desire to be closer to God.
  • Pray that God will use them to encourage others to do the same.
  • Pray that their passions will be put into action.

TRAINING FOR EVANGELISM

This month, in partnership with the Campus Crusade, we conducted a training for one-on-one evangelism and follow-up. Understanding the four spiritual laws as one approach in reaching out to the community for the gospel and intentional follow-up has played a vital role in the discipleship process. The significant and personal results of evangelism training encompass a holistic transformation that affects individuals; they have the opportunity to cherish God’s unconditional love. One of the most profound impacts of evangelism training is a deeper understanding of one’s faith. Participants often emerge more equipped, empowered, and ready to share their faith meaningfully, positively impacting their lives and those around them. These groups of young people and adults are prepared to deploy for mission and evangelism.

  • Pray that God will use and empower them in sharing the gospel
  • Pray for spiritual growth
  • Pray for protection and provision
  • Pray that more people will come to know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ

KIDS FOR THE KING

A child’s smile is frequently seen as one of the most genuine and lovely expressions. It can light up the darkest days and infuse those nearby with hope and innocence. Their smile mirrors their happiness, curiosity, and trust, serving as a reminder of life’s simple pleasures. When children speak and share stories, their words are authentic and hopeful. Listening to them is like hearing beautiful dreams and sparks of inspiration. This experience humbles us and reminds us of the blessings God has granted, inspiring us to show kindness, compassion, and a desire to reach out to more children to build a better world. We are also grateful for God’s provision; they can eat delicious food weekly. Glory to God, for in  Him everything is possible.

  • Pray for the children that God will bless them and keep them
  • Pray that God uses them to invite more children to be part of our weekly gathering
  • Pray for safety and a harmonious family
  • Pray for God’s provision that we will be able to provide their food weekly

A SWEET MOMENT OF PRAYER

Hadassha is 6 years old, wearing a blue polo shirt, and is the firstborn child in the family. She has recently started exploring the practice of prayer, a moment when she talks to God like her parents do. She is learning to pray as naturally as she speaks to someone else. Through her newfound understanding of prayer, she realizes that it is not just about asking for things, but also about expressing gratitude, seeking guidance, and developing a closer relationship with God. When I asked her what her prayer was concerning her family, she said that we have plenty of food on the table and her mommy and daddy will serve the Lord together. As Hadassha prays for the group, we feel a sense of peace and connection that encourages other children to deepen their faith in Jesus and recognize that Jesus alone can make it. Through her actions and prayers, Hadassha shows a deep commitment to her faith and a heartfelt wish for her family to experience the blessings of becoming children of God. Her journey illustrates prayer’s transformative power and emphasizes faith’s importance in guiding loved ones toward spiritual growth.

  • Pray for Hadassha and the children that they will grow in their prayer habit
  • Pray that the parents of Hadassha one day will serve and worship together
  • Pray for provision that God will provide weekly snacks and delicious food
  • Pray that there will be more children who grow and learn from God’s word

Medical Mission & Evangelism

After a week of dedicated training and preparation, our ministry team was deployed to evangelize in Cambaro, reaching approximately 87 individuals who are beneficiaries of the medical mission. We thank God that all of them received the message of salvation. We also distributed Bibles and other materials to support their Christian journey. I am genuinely amazed by the young people’s enthusiasm; they were both excited and initially hesitant to share the gospel. However, they can boldly proclaim and share His Word through God’s grace. The day was filled with excitement and a deep sense of fulfillment. We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to be part of His work in reaching more souls for His glory.

  • Pray that God will keep them strong during family persecution
  • Pray for spiritual growth
  • Pray for the salvation of their families
  • Pray that in the coming weeks and months, there will be more people who surrender to Jesus through baptism

LABOR NOT IN VAIN

Julius is 53 years old and married with three kids. He works as a construction worker and has many vices that make his life difficult. However, one day, during our house-to-house evangelism, Julius accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, realizing that Jesus is the only way to eternity. We invited Julius to join our weekly Bible study and to grow his relationship with God through service. This month, we are organizing an activity to clean our area, called “Bayanihan,” bringing the community together for a common purpose. Julius is eager to participate; he volunteers, and everyone has a great time. We laugh, share, and eat together. Julius’s commitment to completing his tasks stems from his understanding that his efforts are meaningful and impactful in serving the Lord. The phrase “his labor in the Lord is not vain” underscores the biblical principle in 1 Corinthians 15:58, assuring believers that their work for God’s kingdom is never wasted or meaningless. It emphasizes that acts of kindness, service, and obedience hold eternal significance when performed with sincerity and faith.

Knowing his work aligns with a divine purpose gives Julius confidence and hope. It encourages him to work diligently, understanding that his contributions are part of a greater divine plan and will bear fruit beyond earthly measures. This insight fosters a sense of fulfillment and steadfastness, inspiring him to continue faithfully, trusting that his efforts will be rewarded in God’s timing. Julius hopes that someday he will receive what God promised and that his labor in the Lord will not be in vain.

  • Pray that God will use them to have an impact on the community
  • Pray that Nestor will grow spiritually and influence other men in the community
  • Pray that he will be able to work daily to provide for his family
  • Pray that God will bless this Bible study group so that more men and women will be able to join every week

How Unexpected Connections Expanded God’s Kingdom

All glory to God for the incredible opportunity to expand His kingdom by opening a new area for K4K! This milestone allows us to deepen our impact in the community—building relationships, offering support, and tangibly demonstrating His unconditional love.

How did this happen? Though not Christians, a group of basketball players felt compelled to support our weekly feeding program for six months. Their generosity became a blessing to our community, all because of a simple act—sharing about our children’s ministry on social media. As friends passed along our posts, these athletes were moved to take action.

Truly, God’s hand is at work, using even the most unexpected connections to unite people for His greater purpose! Through this opportunity, we can now touch more lives, plant seeds of faith, and create a space where children and parents can experience His grace, hope, and transformation.

We are deeply grateful for His guidance and provision and look forward to witnessing the incredible work He will continue to do in this new area. Glory to God forever.

  • Pray that God will bless our weekly children’s feeding program to reach out to more.
  • Pray that the parents will be supportive and allow their children to attend.
  • Pray for salvation among children and parents.
  • Pray for strength and wisdom in our leadership.

Called to Serve: The Stories of Transformation and Dedication

It is truly inspiring to see how God continues to bring more workers into His kingdom, equipping and calling them to serve. Each of these individuals has responded with a willing heart and is ready to make a difference by serving God through serving the community.

It fills us with joy to witness their passion and dedication. Their willingness to step out in faith and go beyond their limits is a testament to God’s power at work. We believe that through them, a great harvest will come—lives will be touched, hearts will be transformed, and the love of Christ will be made known.

Kent’s story has truly inspired this new volunteer to serve God with intentionality. Kent, a two-year-old Christian, lived a life that embraced his identity as a gay individual before discovering Christ. Since becoming a Christian, his life has dramatically transformed. Now, with newfound boldness, he openly shares about Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is actively serving the community right now, and we praise God for the work He has done in Kent’s life. Through Him, others are inspired to give their lives to Jesus in full service. Hallelujah!

  • Pray for these new volunteers that God will use them mightily.
  • Pray for our ongoing training on how to handle and facilitate a small group.
  • Pray for protection and God’s provision.
  • Pray for the spiritual growth of the volunteers and their families.

A FAITHFUL GOD

Grace is 38 years old, married, and has three children. She came from another island and arrived in Mandaue City seeking job opportunities. Growing up with many unresolved issues led her to a point where she wanted to end her life through suicide. But God remains faithful; Grace has been found and healed through His grace. She learns about and accepts Christ’s love, leading to a long respite from her struggles. God allows these events to happen in her life to enable her to help others through her own experiences. This divine encounter of Grace became a transformative force, reshaping her entire being from the inside out. Through her trials, she discovered a deeper trust in God’s sovereignty, cultivating resilience, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose. Her suffering, which had previously caused her pain, transformed into a channel for divine grace to operate within her, uplifting her spirit and motivating a life characterized by steadfast faith, profound humility, and a shining witness to God’s never-ending faithfulness. Now, Grace serves with us in the community due to God’s faithfulness in her life.

  • Pray that God will use her mightily
  • Pray for courage to minister to her own family
  • Pray for spiritual growth
  • Pray that God will strengthen her when she feels lonely and discouraged

Vision casting, Getting Ready for 2025

Vision casting is done yearly and it is a moment where the entire church unites to witness and celebrate God’s hand at work throughout the year. It is a time of revelation and renewal, where each ministry leader reflects on the divine journey that has shaped their service and calling. More than just sharing plans, it is an opportunity to embrace God’s purpose, align our hearts with His will, and step forward in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.

One of the most inspiring highlights is the life of Sean, a dedicated youth leader.  At just 18 years old and a college freshman, Sean has grown into a passionate servant of God. His journey of faith began in youth fellowship, where he transformed from a shy child into a confident and inspiring leader. Raised by his grandparents alongside his siblings after his parents’ separation, Sean’s story is one of resilience, faith, and growth.

His grandparents, deeply committed to ministry, became his role models. Inspired by their dedication, Sean and his brother actively participated in community outreach, youth discipleship, and Sunday worship preparation. Through these experiences, he felt a strong calling to serve in youth ministry.

Today, Sean is stepping forward with a vision—to share the gospel on his college campus through evangelism and discipleship in 2025. His journey is a testament to God’s faithfulness, and the power of a life surrendered to Him. Glory to God!

  • Pray for wisdom and strength for the team
  • Pray for the harvest; that more people will become followers of Jesus
  • Pray for the spiritual growth of each ministry leader.
  • Pray for the salvation of extended family and loved ones.

Faith, Fellowship, and the Power of Community

In a close-knit community, men and women shared not just a neighborhood but a journey—one of joy and sorrow, triumph and struggle. Though each had a unique story, their lives intertwined through years of living side by side, learning, evolving, and supporting one another. The beauty of this community was that no one walked their path alone.

Fidel, a 57-year-old full-time worker, once resisted joining the group. His wife, Mercy, faithfully attended weekly meetings, sharing what she learned from God’s Word. At first, Fidel strongly opposed her involvement, discouraging her from going. Though struck down and disheartened, Mercy remained steadfast, praying for her husband while the community lifted him up in prayer as well.

Over time, Fidel’s heart softened. He began to listen and eventually joined Sunday worship, experiencing firsthand the love and encouragement of the community. What once seemed impossible became a testimony of faith and perseverance.  This community became a bridge for transformation—not just through words of encouragement but through shared meals, acts of kindness, and unwavering support. No burden was too heavy, no struggle too great when carried together. Ultimately, they discovered that life’s true beauty was not just in the destination but in the steps they took together.  Praise God for the gift of community!

  • Pray for spiritual growth and relationships among members.
  • Pray for wisdom and understanding as we handle our weekly Bible study.
  • Pray for good health and financial blessing and guidance

Honoring the Heart of Our Mission: Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are the backbone of our mission. As leaders, we are deeply grateful for their selfless dedication, hard work, and commitment, which have a lasting impact on our community. We are incredibly blessed by the time, energy, and resources they pour into our work. It is because of their unwavering efforts that we are able to achieve our mission and bring positive change to every home and community we serve. To each volunteer who gives so generously, we thank you for being a shining example of kindness and community spirit. Your support and partnership in the ministry create an incredible impact, and we are forever grateful for your steadfast love and passion for others.

Children’s Christmas Celebration

Christmas is a wonderful time to share God’s love in tangible ways. This year, we encouraged the children to bring their friends to our Christmas party, with the special incentive that those who brought at least two friends would receive a gift from us. Alicia was one of the excited children who brought two friends, and they sat closely together, enjoying the celebration. In total, over 70 children attended the Christmas celebration. They enjoyed listening to stories, singing Christmas songs, and participating in joyful games. Through it all, the children learned that the greatest gift they could receive this season is Jesus Christ. He is the reason for this season, the ultimate gift for our salvation.  Seeing the joy on their faces as they received their gifts was a blessing. We continue to pray that God will touch their hearts and help them grow in faith, always believing that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.

  • Pray that God will encourage the children at the Celebration to come to join our Children’s Program.
  • Pray that God will use the children to evangelize their families.
  • Pray for safety as the children travel from home to school.
  • Pray for good health and the children’s daily provision.

Roy

A Peaceful Life is a Surrendered Life.

We praise God for His mighty power in bringing people from spiritual death to life! Today, we rejoice with nine individuals who have surrendered their lives to Jesus through baptism. Each of them carries a unique story, reflecting God’s transformative work in their lives. Our leaders, church, and community gathered in joyous celebration to honor these nine individuals who have wholeheartedly committed themselves to God’s guidance. We warmly welcome them into our church family, pledging our support and prayers as they embark on this meaningful journey of faith.

What a beautiful testimony they have shared with us! The peace that comes from surrendering one’s life to Jesus is truly remarkable. It is a joy to celebrate this season with the understanding of eternal life in Christ. The meaning of Christmas shines even brighter when we recognize that the birth of Jesus brought us the gift of salvation and hope. Glory to God in the highest indeed! This is a time to reflect on His love and celebrate the joy and peace that come from knowing Him.

  • Pray for spiritual growth and transformation for those who were baptized.
  • Pray that God will strengthen them in times of persecution and courage to face challenges ahead.
  • Pray for the salvation of their families.
  • Pray for the opportunity to work for them to have an income.
  • Pray for courage to share their life’s testimony.

From Darkness to Light: Roy’s Journey of Faith

Roy was a man whose past echoed loudly in his present. At 48 years old, he bore the marks of a life shaped by choices—some careless, others born out of desperation. Married with three beautiful children, Roy’s journey was far from the fairy tales he once heard as a boy. Growing up, Roy embraced a world of vices—drinking, gambling, and seeking fleeting pleasures as a way to escape the struggles of his reality. These habits became the foundation of a life that often felt out of control.

One day, Roy was invited by his friend to our weekly gathering for fellowship and Bible study. When we first met him, he was incredibly shy and remained silent throughout the entire Bible-sharing session. He seemed hesitant, unsure of what to say or how to engage with the group. But as the weeks went by, something beautiful began to happen. Roy started to feel more comfortable and gradually opened up. During our discussions, he began sharing bits and pieces of his life, his thoughts, and his questions. His initial reserve slowly gave way to a deepening sense of connection and trust.

Then, one day, something extraordinary happened. During our gathering, as we shared the Word and encouraged one another, Roy expressed his heartfelt desire to believe in and follow Jesus. At that moment, he made the decision to receive Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. It was a powerful and joyful moment for everyone present. We celebrated his newfound faith, thanking God for the work He was doing in Roy’s heart. His journey from silence to belief became a testament to the transforming power of God’s love.

On December 22, 2024, Roy took another step in his journey by following Jesus in water baptism. With joy, he declared to everyone present that he is now a child of God. Glory to God!

Cultivating a Thankful Heart

A thankful heart is a grateful heart. Every last week of the month, we come together to thank God for our blessings. Embracing an attitude of thankfulness and expressing gratitude to one another helps us focus on the positive aspects of life, even during difficult times. It shifts our mindset from scarcity to abundance and fosters a sense of contentment.

We all deeply enjoy hearing stories of how we have impacted others. Many were moved to tears, overwhelmed by the joy of knowing we were a blessing to them. Through this experience, we’ve learned that showing appreciation to others strengthens relationships and builds mutual respect. When people feel valued and recognized, it enhances trust and emotional connection.

Glory to God for allowing us to experience this as a church family. Above all, we give thanks and praise to God for who He is and all that He has done for us.

Building Strong Families Through God’s Word

We praise God for His wisdom, which has allowed our Bible study to take place in homes and communities. Our weekly Bible study members expressed a desire for the entire family to hear and learn from God’s word together, an excellent opportunity for families to gather, fellowship, build relationships, and connect personally with Scripture.

It’s also a fulfilling experience for the church, as we can now connect, evangelize, and disciple families. This month, we visited 20 families in different communities. Each of these families has unique dreams, stories, and struggles, yet through Bible study, we can come together to pray, discuss, and grow in faith, establishing a strong spiritual foundation for family life. We pray that even more homes will open to this opportunity.

The Power of Baptism in the Community

Every week, we eagerly look forward to leading care groups in the community and witnessing God’s powerful work in the people’s lives. We currently have seven care groups meeting each week, and 16 individuals are undergoing baptism classes. We praise God for these individuals who are now surrendering their lives to Jesus through water baptism.

What once seemed like a life without meaning is now filled with purpose. Where there was hopelessness, now there is hope. We have been privileged to witness the transformation in their lives. God’s word has the power to change, and its impact is seen in their homes and the community.

Though many of them face pressure from their families and communities, as being baptized is seen as a change in religion, they have endured bullying and persecution. Yet, amid these trials, God strengthens them through weekly fellowship, prayer, and His word, guiding them on their faith journey.

God’s Provision and Generosity in the Children’s Ministry

Week after week, the community witnesses the work we’re doing in the children’s ministry, and as I observe, this has had a powerful influence on them. It has inspired many to get involved. Some have donated chairs, others have provided food for the children, and many parents now stay to listen to the Bible sharing.

God continues to provide for the needs of our children’s ministry every week. He strengthens and sustains the volunteers, giving them the wisdom and energy to serve. They are always willing to give their time, energy, and resources to bless these children. We praise God for the generosity of the people in the community. Understanding God’s purpose fuels our passion to help those in need, and through this ministry, we see the power of that passion come to life.

Merlinda’s Journey of Faith and Healing

Experiencing God’s care on a personal level can be incredibly comforting and strengthening. We have heard many testimonies of struggles and hardships—feelings of being unloved, difficulties in marriage, challenges in raising children, and the sense of being unimportant. These burdens often lead people to believe that their lives are not worth celebrating.

Merlinda, a 28-year-old single mother of two, shared her personal struggles with us. She grew up living alone and became involved in numerous vices starting at the age of 14, after being separated from her parents. She became pregnant and, for a time, considered aborting her child, feeling abandoned, unloved, and miserable. But as she reflected, Merlinda realized that if she didn’t love her child, who would?

She faithfully attended Bible study, keeping her story to herself at first. But two months later, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Now, Merlinda has opened up about her past, understanding deeply that God values her and has made her His child.

She is excited to attend our weekly Bible sharing and actively participate in discussions. Merlinda is eager to learn more about God’s Word so that she can properly guide her children and raise them in His love.

Youth Group Outreach

Games are a powerful tool for connecting people, especially the youth. Through friendly competition, teamwork, and shared experiences, games break down barriers and foster trust. For youth groups, they create an ideal environment where new friendships can form naturally. This atmosphere also makes it easier for participants to open up and engage in meaningful conversations.

This month, four new members joined the group, and we praise God for the opportunity to share the gospel in such an effective and enjoyable way. Games not only bring fun but also serve as a bridge to deeper discussions about Christ’s love.

By engaging in activities together, the youth strengthen bonds, create unity, and cultivate an inviting space where everyone feels welcome. Looking ahead, their goal is to welcome even more young people next month and build lasting friendships that center around faith and fellowship.

Celebrating Three Years of Faithfulness and Unity at Bridge Community Fellowship

Bridge Community Fellowship joyfully celebrates its third church anniversary, a milestone marked by deep gratitude and praise for God’s abundant blessings and unwavering faithfulness. We give thanks for His guidance, which has sustained and grown our community, bringing together members and friends who have shared in this journey of faith. This anniversary stands as a testament to God’s enduring love and grace, as we look ahead with hope and unity, bound by His promises and purpose. May God’s people remain steadfast in their commitment to serve the King, giving their best to reach out and proclaim God’s salvation to those in the community, among friends, and loved ones. Let us stay faithful to the faithful God, eagerly anticipating the blessings ahead. Praise God!

Ministry to Widows Through Online Fellowship

It is a privilege to minister to widows through our online fellowship. Throughout Scripture, widows are often mentioned alongside orphans and the poor, highlighting the vulnerable groups for whom God’s people are called to care. God’s heart for widows is clear in verses such as Psalm 68:5, which describes Him as a “father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,” and James 1:27, which reminds us that pure religion is to care for orphans and widows in their distress.

Life can be particularly difficult for those who are alone. Single mothers, especially, often experience loneliness as their children grow and form their own families. Yet, through God’s Word and our weekly online fellowship, the burden of isolation is lightened. Together, we laugh, share insights from Scripture, and discuss the challenges of the week. This fellowship bridges the gap and fulfills God’s purpose of having one another. Each woman is assigned a week to share a passage from Scripture as our devotional. Praise God for this group of women who deeply love His Word.

Whole Community Transformation

God is clearly at work in the lives of the people in this community. Their eagerness to listen and actively participate in our weekly meetings is evidence of God’s visible presence.

We are excited to see this community become our next church plant soon. The transformation we have witnessed in their lives is undeniable and fills us with hope for what will come. What was once a dream—a distant vision of a new church rising from the seeds of faith—now feels within reach as the community.

It was an honor and privilege to have Pastor Cris visit us and share the gospel. His words carried the weight of truth and the warmth of love, resonating deeply with everyone present. He sowed seeds of hope and faith from God’s word that excite and motivate a journey of moral recovery. I praise God for the positive response.

I desire to reach out, share the gospel, and lead a thriving community of believers eager to grow and serve the Lord wholeheartedly. We confidently move forward, knowing that God is leading. The path ahead is bright, and we are filled with anticipation for the days to come as we witness the birth of a new plant church in this blessed community.

  • Pray for spiritual renewal and growth.
  • Pray for all volunteers and leaders who are part of this mission.
  • Pray for God’s provision to prepare the meeting place for our Sunday worship.

A Journey of Growth and Support for Helona

In the bustling city of Mandaue, where everyone is constantly on the go, Helona felt lost. She had recently moved to the city for work, leaving behind her family and friends. The isolation was overwhelming, and although she tried to make new friends at work, the connections were shallow. Every day, she would return to her apartment feeling more alone than the day before.

One Saturday, Helona noticed that there were groups of women gathering, so she decided to join, hoping that it could ease her loneliness and find some friends to talk to. The following week, Helona attended her first life group meeting. The group was small, just eight people, but the atmosphere was welcoming. They started with a prayer and then discussed the lesson they heard from the previous Saturday. The conversation was lively, with everyone contributing their thoughts and experiences. Helona was surprised at how open everyone was, sharing their struggles, victories, and lessons learned without any hesitation.

As the weeks passed, Helona began noticing a change in herself. The life group quickly became a refuge for her, a community where she felt understood and supported. Unlike the fleeting conversations at work, the relationships she was building here were deep and meaningful. The group wasn’t just about discussing the Bible; it was about living life together through the highs and the lows.

Over time, Helona realized that life group wasn’t just about receiving but also about giving. She found herself more open to helping others, whether it was through words of encouragement, sharing her own experiences, or simply being present. The group became a safe space where everyone could grow together, learning from each other’s wisdom and experiences.

Through her life group, Helona found a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. The friendships she formed were more than just social connections; they were spiritual bonds that strengthened her faith and enriched her life. The life group became her extended family, where she could be herself, grow in her faith, and walk through life with others, even though her family was away from her.

In the end, Helona’s story is a testament to the profound impact life groups can have. They offer more than just fellowship; they provide a foundation of support, accountability, and spiritual growth that can transform lives. For Helona, joining a life group wasn’t just a decision; it was a lifeline that led her to a place of connection, growth, and a faithful family of community.

Answered Prayer

We praise the Lord for the incredible favor shown to our Children’s Ministry. For years, we dreamed of creating a space where our children could feel safe, loved, and close to God. We prayed consistently, asking God to provide a safe place for our children to learn and grow.

One Saturday morning, after our Bible study, we received an unexpected call from Terisa, the owner of a house. She offered us one of her rooms to use for our Children’s ministry. It was an answer to our prayers, a beautiful and timely provision from the Lord. Though the room needed some renovations, fresh paint, new lights, chairs, and other materials—we didn’t hesitate to use it, especially since the rainy season was upon us.

This place has become a sanctuary of peace and love, a tangible reminder of God’s provision and care for His people. The parents in our community rejoice with us, grateful that their children now have a safe space where they won’t be tempted to run outside. We continue to praise God for this wonderful provision and for answering our prayers unexpectedly and beautifully.

Praise God for the Answer to Prayer

Highest Calling

Christy had always felt a pull towards something more significant than herself but could not pinpoint it. Despite having a good job, friends, and a comfortable lifestyle, she felt lost and unfulfilled. Deep down, she knew something was missing. One day, I approached Christy and asked if she would be interested in joining a small group focused on studying the Bible and sharing its teachings with others. Though nervous, Christy agreed, sincerely wanting to be more involved.

As she began sharing God’s word with others, Christy experienced a profound transformation. She saw how the teachings of the Bible brought hope to those who were struggling, just as they had for her. The more she preached and shared, the more her faith grew. She found herself becoming more patient, compassionate, and understanding.

Christy’s life began to change in tangible ways. She developed a sense of purpose she had never known before.  She started volunteering in one of our communities, teaching and helping those in need and offering encouragement and support. Her relationships deepened, and she found joy in assisting others to discover the peace and fulfillment she had found.

Christy Teaching Ladies Small Group

Through teaching God’s word, Christy helped others grow in their faith and found her life enriched in ways she never imagined. The more she gave, the more she received. Her faith journey became a testimony to the transformative power of God’s word, showing that when we open our hearts to His teachings, we can find the true meaning and purpose we’ve been searching for. Proclaiming God’s word is the highest calling.

  • Pray for wisdom as she continues to be used by God
  • Pray for provision and good health and for safety in her travel to attend and be part of God’s ministry
  • Pray for her family that they will support her desire and not hinder her passion to share God’s word.

Ongoing Ministry for Your Prayers:

As a community of believers, this month’s care group significantly encouraged and prayed.

My right-hand buddy Alex was eager to talk about his physical struggles. He asks why God permits suffering and why God did not grant his request for total recovery. Alex opened up about his struggles and concerns in this small group. He freely shared how many times he had struggled with God. Alex overheard people encouraging one another and was reassured that we would bring his struggles to God in prayer.

Sally also had a chance to tell her experience. She was raised a Muslim and adhered to all Muslim customs with diligence. She changed as she came to know the Lord Jesus Christ, but the journey has difficulties. Her belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior causes her to suffer from insults from her brother and sister. For quite some time, she has kept it confidential. Her family first accepted her decision and was supportive, but with time, they started to criticize and disparage her. However, this group helps Sally feel appreciated and comfortable enough to discuss her struggles.

We concluded by praying together for a while. It has been a lovely experience supporting one another through various life stages. We thank God for allowing us to hear their inspiring tales of suffering, insults, and mockery, leading to triumph via His grace. Despite ongoing struggles, they maintain faith that God’s grace will be enough at every turn. While the Christian path might be simple for some, it is difficult for many, yet it also leads to a profound and intimate experience of God’s faithfulness. I’m praying more couples will attend our upcoming gathering.

Witnessing the commitment and change of ministry teams is inspirational.

These teams show amazing dedication and enthusiasm for their work. What kindles this passion is that they remain unwavering because of God’s trustworthy promise. Their motivation and skill development are greatly enhanced by the time we spend guiding and instructing them in God’s Word. Every meeting is evidence of their dedication to becoming channels for God’s kingdom. Team members honestly discuss the challenges of leading their small groups during our sharing sessions. It’s interesting to note how different their problems have become from the beginning, demonstrating the Lord’s transformational power.

I am inspired by seeing their development. Their dedication and enthusiasm for serving the Lord has grown tremendously. Their emphasis on deepening and expanding their relationship with God is seen in their weekly attendance at sessions. This transformational journey is about more than simply conquering obstacles; it’s about strengthening one’s devotion, developing one’s faith, and never stopping trying to serve the Lord with more zeal.

  • Pray for wisdom and strength as we handle ministry.
  • Pray for spiritual growth.
  • Pray for provision and protection.
  • Pray for salvation for their families.

We have started a Single Mom & Widow for the King Ministry.

We hear about their experiences in person and virtual meetings; this has been an inspirational experience for me.  Christy is a single mother of three who has been raising her kids by herself for fifteen years. Since her family is devout Roman Catholics and she believes in the Lord, she seldom gets assistance from them. Her desire to share her faith and provide prayers for her family is inspiring and a blessing to me. She anticipates a spiritual awakening from God in their lives.

A supportive community is desperately needed for these ladies to find someone to confide in and listen to. The number of people joining our small groups has increased weekly. Serving widows and single moms requires a thoughtful, compassionate, and all-encompassing strategy that attends to their practical, spiritual, and emotional needs. We thank God for this opportunity.

Little Child for the Big God

Every individual is essential in God’s kingdom. God views all children as unique, priceless, and deserving of a particular place in his heart. These young ones will have the power to mold and direct the future; they are more than just citizens of the kingdom; they are its future leaders.  As such, valuing each child entails investing in their future and loving them as they are now. It is a privilege for us as a church to help shape these little ones. Every volunteer is happy to assist them. We regard them highly because we consider them future stewards, visionaries, and leaders of God’s kingdom. As they lead the community toward a more profound comprehension of love, justice, and faith, their voices, thoughts, and deeds will influence the future. They are valued for the limitless potential they symbolize and who they are now. Everybody matters in God’s kingdom, even the little ones. Despite their small size, they are a creation of our big God.

  • Pray for these children that God will mold them through His Word.
  • Pray for their family so they will allow them to attend our weekly meeting.
  • Pray for all volunteers for their willingness and passion to serve.
  • Pray for financial provision so we can provide weekly snacks.

Fruitfulness is the outcome of God’s faithfulness

Cambaro 2, Mandaue City, is a place where we have Bible study every Saturday. What began as a small weekly Bible study blossomed into a vibrant community, a testament to God’s divine work. Each week, men and women gathered to study the scriptures, seeking comfort, wisdom, and connection. As the words of the Bible resonated in their hearts, their lives began to change in remarkable ways. Praise God! The direct effect of this transformation was most evident in their children as they joyfully allowed their children to come and be taught by God’s word. Their laughter and enthusiasm became a beautiful sign at every meeting, a living testament to the community’s growing vibrancy. It is indeed God’s faithfulness in their lives. Every week, the number of attendees grew, reaching 140 to 150 individuals, both parents and children. It was more than just a gathering; it was a sanctuary of hope and renewal. The community saw firsthand how the hand of God was at work, reshaping lives, mending broken spirits, and building an unshakeable foundation of faith. This small community in Cambaro illustrated how faith could move mountains, not just metaphorically but in the real sense of transforming lives and building a resilient, joyful, and united community. Each person’s journey was a beacon of hope, reflecting God’s divine promise. And now, we are all excited to launch and start Sunday worship soon. Glory to God! We are now in agreement with the owner of this place for rent so that we can use it for our weekly gatherings. Amen!

Rooted in LOVE

Colossians 2.7: “Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

One of the blessings we enjoy as a community is the presence of one another. Our commitment as a church isn’t just about personal growth; it’s about fostering a community that reaches beyond our walls. We are united as a church in our purpose: to spread the message of hope in Christ Jesus to the sixteen villages surrounding our church. This year, we plan to create a ministry-like home visitation in every village and offer prayers for the families. By doing this, we can build connections and share the gospel. We believe every individual deserves to hear the message of hope, and we are devoted to making that a reality. Our collective efforts aim to touch hearts and change lives, one person at a time. For me, this is how we model the discipleship process. We journey together to reach out to the community by involving them. We are also preparing ourselves to be better messengers of Christ’s love for this generation and the generation to come. Each conversation, prayer, and act of kindness is a step toward our goal. Our journey is one of faith, love, and a relentless pursuit of God’s calling. Together, we will see our vision come to life as the message of hope in Christ Jesus reaches every family and individual in those sixteen villages. This is our mission, our purpose, and who we are.

Refreshed and re-ignited

We praise God for the opportunity to motivate and appreciate our church volunteers as we spent our time together at Lapu-Lapu Beach Resort. There was a meaningful conversation about their faith journeys and their duty and responsibility in ministry. I have heard from many that they are tired, confused, and not always motivated. Another pressure they receive is from their family as they are questioned about their faith and commitment to the church and ministry. I feel their burden and commitment to serving the Lord our God and encourage them through the book of James. We spent time praying to one another. We praise God for the meaningful conversation and the genuine feelings regarding our personal life and ministry.

New Beginning

This month is busy for all our teachers and volunteers for children’s ministries. Every year, we have enrollments for all children ages 3 to 7 to be part of our Saturday classes, storytelling, and other activities. We have 75 Children enrolled and ready to start their classes and feeding program every Saturday. What an exciting journey together this year, 2024, as there are many new faces.

Pray that God will open us opportunities as we engage the community and that there will be more families we can pray and connect with. Pray for all volunteers and teachers’ spiritual growth, strength, and wisdom. Pray for God’s provision, protection, strength, and wisdom as we engage the ministry. Pray for the salvation of the families of attendees. Pray for safety and God’s provision for our weekly feeding.

Children’s Outreach Despite the High Heat

The extreme heat posed a tough challenge for the kids and volunteers this month. But Julie and Caina, our dedicated teachers in the children’s ministry, never wavered. Despite the weather, they tirelessly reached out, taught, and inspired the children every single week. Their unwavering commitment demonstrates their passion for teaching and their love and care for the children they serve. It’s heartwarming to hear that the children remain enthusiastic and eager to engage with their teachers and the activities provided despite the extreme heat. Their efforts are undoubtedly making a significant difference in the lives of these children, instilling in them a love for learning and a deeper connection to the one who created them. They are shining examples of selflessness and devotion; their impact will undoubtedly be felt for years.

Pray for the courage and positivity of each volunteer. Pray for good health and safety for the children. Pray for God’s provision to our children’s ministry. Pray for the parents as well that they will continue to send their children for them.

Raising a new generation of caring, forward-thinking leaders

Cultivating a better future depends on enabling children and young adults to take on leadership roles. In addition to fostering their spiritual development, discipleship and fellowship activities help them develop their social and emotional awareness, equipping them to lead successfully in various roles. By supporting their growth, we give more opportunities and raise a new generation of caring, forward-thinking leaders who can benefit their communities. We praise God because they value discipleship and fellowship.

Safe Spaces in God’s comfort

In a group Bible study context, the power of community is amazing. This was demonstrated this month when our Bible study participants, who are husbands, were impacted by the sun’s intense heat and the limitations of their ability to work. The money they received as compensation became smaller, and tension and disagreements arose between husbands and wives. The venue for them to share their burden and refresh one another’s hearts and minds with genuine encouragement was from the group and God’s word. The group creates a safe space where challenges can be discussed without fear of judgment by practicing active listening and sincere concern for one another. Yes, having a supportive network to walk beside you makes managing life’s obstacles easier. Additionally, every step is infused with hope and purpose when the Word of the Lord guides faith. We do need community as we travel through life’s challenges.

Pray for peace and understanding for each family. Pray for God’s provision and good health. Pray for spiritual growth. Pray for harmony and a calm spirit, relying on God’s perfect time.

Continuous Growth in Leadership Development

Leadership development is not a static destination; instead, it is an ongoing, lifelong journey. It entails a perpetual quest for improvement, growth, and enhanced service to those around us. Following our church service, our dedicated leaders and ministry team choose not to disperse and depart each week but instead remain steadfast in our collective growth journey by actively participating in educational endeavors. Regardless of our experience or expertise, there is always room for fresh insights, skill refinement, and new perspectives. This steadfast commitment to learning and readiness to serve the King is commendable. I thank God for the blessing of such devoted leaders and the privilege of belonging to a community that prioritizes continuous growth and learning. Let us encourage one another to remain resolute on this journey, seizing every opportunity for advancement and relying on God’s guidance at every step. Remember, as long as we keep learning, we keep growing in countless ways.

Pray for wisdom, growth, and self-discipline in the learning process. Pray that God will use the leaders in different ministries. Pray for their family’s good health, protection, and provision.

Transformation Through Faith: Kent’s Journey to Finding Identity in Christ

I met and got to know Kent ten months ago. He is 29 years old and was initially confused about his identity. He knows he is a boy, but why act like a girl? That was the question in his mind and a big struggle over the years. One day, we had feeding and Bible study in his area, and Kent was invited to attend. Praise God he did. In the first meeting, he was calm and quiet. In the second one, he shared his understanding of what we studied. After several weeks, he became comfortable, and at that time, we challenged everyone to believe and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Kent was one of those who received Jesus and wanted God to change his life forever; though he knew it would not be easy, he believes everything is possible by the power of God. Kent surrendered to the Lord through water baptism. He knows not everyone is happy about it, but God matters to him now. He shared two weeks ago about his struggle and said that God is working. He was already separated from his partner or boyfriend. He is also learning to develop his masculinity through discipleship. He made me whole again, Kent said. Praise God! Pray that God will continue transforming him to minister to other LGBT communities. Pray for God’s strength and wisdom in dealing with those who persecute him. Pray for his family that God will save those he reaches out to. Pray for God’s provision and protection every day.

A Heartwarming Act of Compassion: Cooking Porridge and Sharing God’s Love with Children

It is heartwarming to know that you have people who have the heart to serve, care for, and help those in need. Cooking porridge for children and sharing God’s word demonstrates a deep compassion and love for these children. It is truly inspiring to see children coming together, making others laugh, having a positive impact, and attributing success whenever they gather in a place like this. Having one another is an exciting part of children’s lives, knowing that most of their parents work eight hours a day. So, our presence with them is a highly intriguing aspect of a child’s life. Another level of significance is added by the church volunteers’ involvement, which shows a group effort to support the community. Their dedication to meeting the children’s bodily and spiritual needs is demonstrated by their provision of meals, activities, stories, and the Bible. Praise God for this opportunity. Pray for the salvation of these children and families. Pray that the word of God planted in their hearts will grow and change their lives. Pray that parents continue to support and allow their children to attend Bible story time.

Empowered Women: Nurturing Faith and Community in Weekly Gatherings

Meeting with this group of women who want to make something different in the community is a pleasure. Our weekly get-togethers are characterized by joy and passion for studying spiritual development. I see their willingness to grow deeper and serve the community purposely. Our plan for this community is to have a house church where everyone, including kids, can join for worship every Sunday. I was amazed by their commitment and love for God and the community. Pray for wisdom as we prepare ourselves for this journey. Pray that God will protect and use these women with a mission’s heart. Pray for the salvation of their family and friends. Pray for strength and provision every day.

Hope Amidst Loss: Responding to Tragedy with Compassion and Faith

This month, another immense fire tragedy occurred in Fatima, Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City. This place is thirty meters from our church (Bridge Community Fellowship). There are 500 plus affected families/households by fire. We have five church members, eight immediate families, and six new contacts for our Bible study who were affected. They are now in the gymnasium and school for a temporary stay.  During this time, our church members collaborate and assist them in addressing their immediate needs (like food, clothes, and temporary shelter). We have also been debriefing every Saturday together with my team to help them process. This experience is very touching, especially for my team. Most of them are first-time handling, and they were carried by emotion. We praise God for this opportunity to develop a team to respond to situations like these. We distributed to 80 families 5kl of rice, groceries, and cooking pots. We plan to add at least 50 families (food and cooking pots) in the coming weeks. Food will be 500 per family (5k rice & groceries), and the cooking pot will be 300 pesos. The total amount we want to raise is 40,000.00 (US$730). Please include us in your prayers. Just this week, a friend donated a hundred Bibles to be distributed next week so we can use them for our discipleship and counseling.

No Turning Back

Jemboy, age 49, is a married man with two children. His past was marked by struggles with drug addiction, leading him onto a path that landed him in prison. Now, to provide for his family, he works diligently by driving a motorcycle every day. We invited Jemboy to one of our Bible study sessions in November last year. He experienced a transformative journey, embracing faith and accepting the Lord Jesus into his heart. In December 2023, Jemboy took a significant step in his spiritual journey by getting baptized, symbolizing his surrender to a new life in Jesus.         Despite his newfound faith, Jemboy faces ongoing challenges. His friends continue to extend invitations and tempt him to indulge in drinking and drugs; however, the faithfulness of God is evident in Jemboy’s life as God strengthens him to resist the allure of drunkenness, substance abuse, and bullying. Jemboy and his entire family actively participate in church activities, demonstrating the positive impact of his spiritual transformation on the household. The journey of overcoming past struggles may still present obstacles, but Jemboy remains steadfast in his commitment to a life guided by faith in Jesus.

Prayer requests:

Pray for strength and wisdom as Jemboy continues to learn from God’s word.Pray for spiritual growth and salvation for his family. Pray for daily protection as he rides a motorcycle every day.

Children Ministry- Beaming smiles and vessels of inspiration.

The children’s gathering each week makes us so excited. The children’s anticipation is palpable as they prepare to sing praise songs to the Lord. Glory to God! The source of their enthusiasm lies in the stories they hear from God’s word through teacher Julie. Currently, we observe new faces coming and listening to the story. A collective thrill fills the air as the teachers recount tales of faith and grace. The children, with innocence in their eyes, listen to the timeless stories that have inspired generations, and their voices echo with melodies of hope, love, and redemption. Going deeper into faith

In January, enthusiastic men and women embarked on a journey fueled by a profound hunger for God’s word. Their excitement and passion are palpable, igniting a fervor that draws them together each week to pursue spiritual growth. This collective eagerness to delve into the teachings of the Word became a source of inspiration for the entire group. Their commitment to attending regular gatherings showcases a genuine thirst for knowledge, a yearning to unravel the depths of scripture and integrate its wisdom, and prayer for a deeper understanding of God’s word. These prayers were not mere rituals but sincere petitions, a plea to grasp profound truths. Their hearts are open and receptive to the transformative power of the Scriptures. The hunger for God’s Word transcends the confines of a weekly meeting; it permeates their daily lives. Their conversations are flavored with discussions about faith, and their actions reflect a genuine desire to live out the teachings they absorb. A common purpose unites them, and the group has begun exploring ways to put their newfound understanding into practice with the desire to serve in the church and the broader community. Their passion has become a catalyst for meaningful action, a commitment to be vessels of compassion and agents of positive change in their home and the community. Because of that, I am so excited about what God will do in the community through them. The transformation is not just individual but collective, as the group finds strength and encouragement in one another. The hunger for God’s Word has forged a bond that transcends mere study sessions, creating a supportive community of believers eager to encourage each other in their shared mission. This group of men and women witnessed a deepening of spiritual understanding and a tangible impact on those touched by their service. The hungry hearts have become hands and feet in action, embodying the teachings they had so ardently studied. Praise God for their lives.

Find Hope and Family

Daphne, a soul traversing the intricacies of existence, carries the weight of a fragmented past at the tender age of 29. In the early chapters of her life, she sought refuge in the comforting embrace of her grandmother, forsaking the conventional path of education. The script of her narrative unfolded unexpectedly, as the script of adolescence intertwined with the complexities of maternity at the age of 17. Haunted by unresolved inquiries and adorned with garments of unfulfilled potential, Daphne bore the burdens of estrangement from her roots and the uncharted responsibilities of motherhood. A compelling void echoed in the spaces between her questions and the regrets etched on the canvas of her life. An unexpected chapter unfolded in November of 2023 when an invitation to partake in the illumination of divine wisdom through a Bible study graced her existence. An ember of hope ignited as she ventured into this sacred journey, seeking solace and enlightenment within God’s holy word. In the sanctity of that moment, amidst the verses that echoed through the corridors of time, Daphne found a place in the embrace of the Lord Jesus Christ. In December, she chose to immerse herself in the transformative waters of baptism, symbolizing a rebirth and a consecration of her newfound faith. Today, the echoes of Daphne’s life resonate differently. A metamorphosis has occurred, and now, with unwavering faith, Daphne and her family dutifully assemble for Sunday services. The fragmented past has been healed, and the yearning for family connection finds fulfillment in the divine bonds forged through the love of Jesus Christ. Daphne’s journey is not merely a tale of redemption; it is a profound testament to the transformative power of faith, the resurrection of hope, and the emergence of a new familial sanctuary anchored in the teachings of the divine.

Embracing Hope: A Christmas Celebration of Faith, Blessings, and Community

Indeed, Christmas carries profound historical and religious significance for millions across the globe, symbolizing the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, whom Christians regard as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. The narrative of Jesus’ birth, central to the Christian faith, is vividly portrayed in the Gospels. Hope emerges as a main theme during the Christmas season, embodying the fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Messiah, bringing salvation and hope to the world through the birth of Jesus. The tradition of gift-giving is often viewed as a reflection of the Wise Men presenting gifts to the infant Jesus and the ultimate gift of the Son, Jesus, bestowed by the Father upon us. This Christmas, our Church aspired to bless our community by inviting them to one of our Sunday services, allowing them to hear the message of Hope at Christmas. Praise God for the response; twenty joined our Sunday gathering. Simultaneously, we present our baptism candidates to the congregation, sharing their stories of finding hope in Jesus. Christmas serves as a poignant reminder of the spiritual and moral values held dear by many, encouraging acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion. Whether celebrated as a religious observance or a cultural tradition, Christmas profoundly impacts individuals and communities, fostering a sense of hope, love, and connection beyond the holiday season.

Directing the proceeds towards vital areas such as feeding programs and the music ministry highlights their awareness of community needs. It demonstrates a comprehensive approach to uplifting our church. By acknowledging the significance of these ministries, the youth embody the spirit of service and devotion to a higher purpose. The concept of praising God through their musical talents is a beautiful way not only to spread joy but also to connect with the divine. Music uniquely uplifts spirits and fosters community, making it an excellent tool for promoting unity and shared purpose within the church. Moreover, their intention to actively engage in the children’s ministry is commendable. This choice reflects a commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth and well-being of the younger members of our congregation. By actively participating in the children’s ministry, the youth are addressing the church’s current needs and investing in its future. “Growing together in unity” is the theme of Bridge Community Fellowship’s celebration for their second anniversary. We give thanks for God’s steadfast love for the people of Bridge Community Fellowship. The church members were enthusiastic and motivated as they made preparations. The congregants see this event as a turning point in their relationship with God as they continue to work cooperatively for His honor and glory.

The celebration was jam-packed with enjoyment, treasured memories, trials counting it as part of training, and so forth. Meetings every Friday are the support groups designed to make a memorable impact through leadership and teaching strategies. Our church leaders and ministry team leaders are learning how to develop their skills of listening, the art of communicating, and coaching in the process of spiritual growth. We had an important time of discussion with them, sharing varying degrees of difficulties and challenges in the field of ministry. Knowing that our God is working in unexpected ways gives each of us comfort and encouragement at the same time. This time, the focus of the class is more on how to see and understand our hearts as a group, while also being open to how we feel about our ministry experience.

We praise God because everyone felt safe and comfortable to open up. We are grateful for an authentic community where everyone is safe to unload their struggles. I have discovered that support groups are vital in any organization or church. We are thankful to God for this group for men and women who have big hearts for Him and His Kingdom.

  • Pray for wisdom as the leaders prepare to lead the small groups.
  • Pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  • Pray that the volunteers will enjoy their Christian walk and grow in their service to God.
  • Pray for spiritual growth in the lives of these obedient people.
