Ling Khui Sing

Pastor Sing’s Testimony

My name is Ling Khui Sing from the Mindat tribe of the Chin people. I was raised in a Christian family, converted in 1987, and called to full-time ministry in 1996. I studied at Bible School for two years and married in 1998. By God’s grace, we have seven children: six daughters and one son.

I served the Lord as a pastor in Htay Lin town. The Htay Lin church was founded by Pastor Tha Khup, a former church planter under White Fields and I became a founding member in 2004. In 2006, I was appointed as pastor. After two years working together with him, Pastor Tha Khup was transferred to Saw Myo, a new mission field.

Sadly, beginning in 2021, political problems forced all the people in Htay Lin to flee to safer places. By 2023, the entire congregation had scattered to different villages across Chin State. Until today, no one is allowed to return to Htay Lin town.

During that time, my wife became seriously ill. We went to the civil hospital in Pakokku town, where she required long-term treatment. We rented a house and have been living in Pakokku’s urban area until now.

When I looked around, I saw that almost everyone nearby was a non-Christian. I felt a deep burden to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. I began reaching out and also started conducting worship services in my rented house. The Lord has blessed this ministry, and 11 people have accepted Christ and believed in Him. I baptized them.

Please pray for my ministry and consider supporting us financially, as your generosity enables me to continue this work. Thank you for your support, and may God bless you.

Recent Ministry

Through your faithful prayers, my ministry in April was blessed and fruitful. We were able to continue our weekly programs, including home cells, prayer meetings, worship services, and evangelism. Every Friday, I dedicate myself to fasting and prayer, and the Lord has graciously strengthened me and caused more people to show interest in hearing the gospel of salvation.

I regularly visited refugees who arrived from different villages, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them. Many of them have joined our Sunday worship services and prayer meetings, and I continue to pray that more souls will be won for Christ soon.

During the festival holidays, I conducted a two‑day gospel training at my rented house. Praise God, the participants were joyful and encouraged as they listened to the message of salvation.

In addition, I was privileged to join the Christian Fellowship in Pakokku Township, where I was encouraged by the unity and faith of fellow believers. Praise the Lord for His guidance and provision in every step of the ministry.

Prayer Requests

  • Praise God for the continuation of weekly programs.
  • Give thanks to God for the two‑day gospel training during the festival holidays, where participants were joyful in hearing the message of salvation
  • Pray for spiritual growth and steadfast faith among the refugees and new believers who are attending services.
  • Pray for strength and wisdom as I continue fasting every Friday and leading weekly programs.
  • Pray for more open hearts to receive the gospel of salvation in the villages and refugee communities.

Past Ministry

By God’s grace, the ministry has borne fruit. Eleven people have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, and they have been baptized. Praise the Lord! At present, our Sunday worship services have about 25–30 people in attendance. Most of these new members are poor and struggle to obtain enough food each day. They are refugees because of the civil war.

Our weekly programs, including prayer meetings, Bible study, and worship services, are conducted regularly. Many of our members are growing in their understanding of God’s Word and in their fellowship with one another. We also continue to reach out to new people, sharing the gospel in homes and in the community.

Though poverty and the pressures of the civil situation remain heavy, we testify that God is faithful. His Spirit is working among us, and we trust Him to open more doors for evangelism and discipleship in Pakokku and beyond. We remain committed to planting seeds of faith, nurturing believers, and proclaiming the hope of Christ in this region.

Prayer Requests

  • Give thanks to God for the eleven new believers who have been saved and baptized.
  • Pray for the daily living needs of our members, especially the poor, that the Lord will provide food, jobs, and strength.
  • Ask the Lord to open more doors for sharing the Good News in my field.
  • Pray for the spiritual maturity of our members, that they may grow in faith and in love.
  • Pray earnestly for our country. The civil war has deeply affected people across the nation, and we seek God’s mercy, peace, and healing.
