Recent Ministry:
We see God at work in the life of Deborah, who is 38 years old. She has survived by selling hard labor to work in people’s fields after her husband abandoned her and left her with six children. She had been living a life of desperation, bitterness, and pain. When she joined our church, and as she fellowshipped with us more, she found family and learned to forgive and have peace in the Lord. She works hard, and the poverty solutions program has helped her with a sewing machine. She was able to save to buy a piece of land with a small temporary house that fell after ants and termites had eaten its poles. Her situation touched many people in the church, and we went to help her reconstruct another temporary house where she now lives with her children. When the house was finished, she invited the church to have a thanksgiving fellowship in her home. We shared the Word of God with her neighbors who came to the fellowship. We pray that she will be a testimony and that many will come to the Lord because of her life.

We see God at work in the life of Davis, who is 22 years old. He had separated from his parents after dropping out of school in senior two due to a lack of school fees. Davis then joined a team of gangsters who stole and took drugs. We met him, shared a word of encouragement, and told him about Jesus Christ and His love for mankind. He was convicted and gave his life to Christ. After that, he started working, and now he has managed to set up a grocery shop, and he is in church serving the Lord.
Kemigisha is a widow with three children, ages 16 to 22. The family depends on subsistence farming and selling labor to others. After the death of her husband, Kemigisha started drinking alcohol due to stress and failed to care for her children who dropped out of school. We prayed for her and encouraged her to visit us at church where she learned the truth and gave her life to Christ. God has helped her children earn sponsorship for their studies at school and she now serves God in intercession.
Spirits would attack Susan, age 16, during the night, and her mother called us to pray for her when an intense attack occurred. Before Judith, her mother, joined our church, she would take her daughter to witch doctors every time demons would attack her, but she was not healed. We shared the Word of God and prayed for Susan. God was gracious and delivered Susan out of the enemy’s grip. We visited the second time, and we found that she was okay and in her normal senses. We shared the Word of God with her; she accepted and gave her life to Jesus Christ. We pray God gives her the grace to keep in faith and walk in the Light she has seen
Young Ambassadors in the church service.
We have seen God at work through the life of Emanuel, 55, who is married and has an eight-year-old child. He is a resident of Nyamisinga Bikurungu Town Council. We met him during our home visits and found that he was sick with a disease unknown to doctors but was constantly tormented by evil spirits. He had spent a lot of money looking for medicine because he was wasting away, but to no avail. He was discouraged and lost hope for life. His wife brought him to our church for prayers during one of the Friday evening prayer services, and we prayed for him. The Lord delivered him from the evil spirits’ possession, oppression, sickness, and disease, and that day, he did not return home but decided to sleep in church the whole night. He went home the next and that Sunday, he gave his life to Christ, and since then, he has been free from torment and healthy from sickness. We praise the name of the Lord for His delivering power.
Nicholas, 24, and Joanitah, 20, are blessed with one child, who is three months old. They live in a semi-permanent home and depend on subsistence farming on their land. They. We met them through our home visits and found that he was born into an Anglican family and never wanted to change his grandfather’s faith. He was a drunkard, and his wife was demon-possessed. They believed in their family that their fathers’ spirits and gods constantly communicated their needs to God. We took time to be friends with this family and started teaching them there is only one way to God: through Jesus Christ alone. We invited them to church and prayed for them when they came. The Lord delivered Joanitah from demon possession. They kept coming, and after one service, they came forward and decided to give their lives to Christ. Nicholas stopped drinking alcohol, and they both committed to the home fellowship in their community and to church. They are among the intercessors. They are good at reading the Bible, and Nicholas sometimes teaches Sunday school. We pray that God gives them strength as they serve the Lord.
We met Brendah, 30, married to Gelard, 35, during our home visits and found that she had diabetes. We prayed for her, and when she returned for a checkup, she reported that she was getting better. She came to church to share the testimony, and we were encouraged in the Word of God that God heals our bodies and, more so, heals our souls from sin by accepting Jesus Christ. We prayed with her again. When her referral dates were due, she returned for a medical checkup. She was told that they did not know what had happened, but she was completely fine with no traces of diabetes – that she was no longer diabetic. She came back to testify in church, and this Sunday, she gave her life to Jesus Christ to be her Savior and Lord. We bless the name of the Lord for saving Brendah.

This has motivated some members to gain confidence in speaking and give them a chance to lead church programs. We have Sunday school, where children learn songs and Bible stories and memorize Bible verses. The children then present special items in the Sunday service. The church worship team meets every Wednesday and Saturday for practice, where we first share the Word of God to encourage and guide us in whatever we are doing in the worship team. We also have established fellowships that meet in homes, and we reach out to the community through rotational home fellowships, which meet in a home to share the Word. This last quarter, we visited 38 homes and reached out to 148 females and 93
males.
We see God’s healing hand in the life of Mercy, age 55. She came to church suffering from an unknown sickness for a long time and was wasting away. She couldn’t walk or help herself. When medication did not help, the medical officials directed her to a witch doctor in the area. Mercy went, but her health got worse each day. She was brought to church on Sunday and requested to be prayed for. The whole church laid hands on her and prayed for her, and the Lord, in His mercy, healed her that day. She was able to walk home. She is now well and has come to join us; we pray that God will touch her heart to surrender to the Lord. We thank God for His ways of doing things and give Him all the glory.
We see God at work in the life and family of Nayebare Olivia, age 26. Her husband Johnson had abandoned Olivia with their two children she struggled to raise alone, meeting their educational, physical, health, and spiritual needs. She did not hear from him for a long time, wondering if he was still alive. We prayed for her and Johnson that the Lord may bring them back together. We thank God for answering our prayer, and Johnson has returned to his family. We bless the name of the Lord for seeking and returning the lost. They are now together and happy, and we give God the glory for answering our prayers.
We see God at work through the life of Nankunda Eunice, 45 years old, married to Tukwasibwe Rajab, with six children, 16 years to 6 years. They are church members and residents of Nyamihuku cell. We met Nankunda Eunice when she was demon-possessed. Her disease could not be diagnosed. Her husband had sold many properties to take her to several hospitals, but all in vain. When she entered our church to pray, the Lord delivered her, and she gave her life to Christ. She serves God as a prayer intercessor in our church, and she and her husband managed to buy a piece of land where they reside and practice farming.
Twinomujuni Pius, age 38, accepted Jesus Christ this month. Twinomujuni Pius and his wife, Christine, age 36, are residents of Nyamihuku village. We met Pius at a bar when we were doing evangelism. He abandoned his wife, Christine, and had a mistress. He said he did not feel any conviction about his behaviors because he was a committed Anglican faithfully paying his church taxes and was told by the Anglican leadership that that was all he needed to do. We shared the Word of God with him. He was convicted to give his life to Christ and to return to his wife. His wife thanks the Lord for what He did for her and the children by returning Pius and saving him.
By the grace of God, our church attendance is increasing. People are coming to faith and worshiping with us at the church. We now have over forty-five members in total. Your financial support is helping our ministry as we share the gospel in the community and the surrounding area.
We have seen God’s healing hand and power in the life of Fred, eight-five, a resident of Bikurungu town council. He had wounds all over his leg that caused great pain, and eventually, paralysis and an inability to walk. He was struggling with basic tasks such as eating and drinking. He and his family believed he had been bewitched. We came to their house as we were doing home visits and after sharing the gospel, we prayed with Him and believed in God with him for the hand of healing upon him. We thank God that when we visited for a second time, we found Fred outside and drinking porridge. He told us that he could now walk, and the wounds were drying up and healing. He said that when he is able to walk further, he will come to church. We give God the glory!
The number of families in the church has increased to twenty-five. We have a membership of over forty people, with twenty men, and twenty-five women. Our target by the end of the month is to have reached fifty-five church members.
Our prayer need is for land for the church. We meet in one of the classrooms of a neighboring school that we rent to meet in and sometimes we are inconvenienced by the changing school programs. As we grow in number, we also have the need for sound machines for the church to use during worship services.
The church worship team meets for practice every Thursday and Saturday at three pm. During this practice time, they learn songs and prepare for church worship services. They also read the Bible together and encourage each other in the Word of God.
Our Sunday school can accommodate twenty children and they have a choir of twelve kids called the Young Ambassadors. They meet every Saturday in preparation to minister during the church services. We are praying for the parents to be able to afford a t-shirt uniform for the Young Ambassadors that will help to motivate the children and also encourage more children to be excited to come to church.
Daniel is twenty-five, married, a father of twins, and a resident of Nyaamihuku. He has given his life to Christ. We met him during our home visits, shared the Word, and invited him to come to our church to visit us. Daniel came with a friend and after the service, he gave his life to Christ. He shared that he had been a drunkard and a womanizer, but he has since changed after surrendering his life to Jesus. He is now on the worship team and serving diligently. We give all the glory to God for transforming Daniel. Praise the Lord!
We are reaching the community through home visits. We thank God that this month we visited fifteen homes and shared the gospel with twenty-three males, and fifty-six females. We are praying that some of them who promised to come will indeed come to church and be touched by God and will accept Jesus Christ. We thank God for the opportunity to be used by Him in the community.
