We are encouraged by the diligent ministry of all our pastors worldwide as they proclaim the gospel and reach out to the lost and needy in their communities. Every country requires a different and specific approach to gospel outreach. In Uganda, they hosted an overnight on New Year’s Eve attended by over 5,000 people. In Myanmar, the churches hosted Christmas Celebration Dinners. They invited their friends and neighbors to come and hear why they celebrate the birth of Jesus. Your donations to White Fields make you a partner in all these gospel activities.

Finding Their Way to Jesus
White Fields pastors extend their reach into remote villages where many individuals have never even heard of God. These communities live in bondage to religious spirits that have dominated their ancestors for generations. Our pastors share the gospel of Jesus Christ and teach the people about salvation by grace through faith, using the Scriptures as their guide.

When I (Stephen Wheeler) travel to these villages, the people often say no foreigner has ever visited them. I can share with them that they were once lost, but God has made a way for the truth of the Bible to find them, and now they can know the Creator of the universe.

The Prime Minister of Uganda has commissioned the Graceland Academy on behalf of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The school has made tremendous progress from its early days in wood-slat buildings on dirt floors. The Board of Directors of White Fields is committed to advancing the Great Commission through God’s grace and wisdom. We confidently embrace each new project’s journey, knowing the Lord will guide us to where we need to be. The progress at Graceland Academy Primary School is a genuine demonstration of God’s plan taking shape.

The students and pastors in Uganda are engaging with over 15,000 books in the Uganda Bible College Library. The library has theology books, commentaries, and children’s materials. There are no other libraries for several hundred miles, and there may not be any in Uganda that have the resources available at the UBC Library.

We have been praying daily for our dear brothers and sisters in Myanmar. I have regular contact with our Field Director, Pastor Thawng. He confirmed that the church White Fields planted in the capital city suffered the collapse of the apartment complex many of the church members lived in, and they fled to other places, sleeping in fields and grass areas. Thankfully, none of the church members lost their lives.

Our Lord has charged us with the Great Commission to spread the Good News that faith in Jesus is the only path to reconciliation with God. Sin separates every human from God; we deserve God’s wrath. God provided the only way of salvation. White Fields’ first priority is proclaiming that message and supporting our pastors worldwide in preaching it.

The civil war in Myanmar has continued during the past four years. Our White Fields pastors work diligently to minister, serve their community members, and reach out to the villages near their local church. Sometimes, people flee into the jungle because the fighting is fierce; the military and rebels clash in their villages.

Sunset is a beautiful time of day, and I enjoy looking out across the Pacific Ocean from one of my favorite beaches. But with each sunset, I am reminded that after a night of rest, there is another day to engage in the work of the Lord and accomplish the ministry He has appointed for me to do. We approach the same realization at the end of this year and the beginning of the New Year. All our White Fields pastors are busy proclaiming the gospel over the end of the year and preparing for the activities of ministry that await them.

During that first Christmas, God sent angels to proclaim the good tidings of great joy for all people. The announcement of a Savior’s birth brought hope to the lost and offered reconciliation to sinners. The shepherds, who were the poorest laborers in Bethlehem, immediately set out to find the baby. Upon seeing Jesus, they departed, shared the message, and told others about the child.

For two millennia, God has been guiding the ministry leadership of the church from one generation to the next. In the book of Acts, the Apostle Paul was accompanied by Silas, and later Timothy joined them. Two of Paul’s Epistles were addressed to “Timothy, my true child in the faith.” One of the crucial principles of church leadership is training young people in the faith to become the next leaders of the church.
