The Continual Spread of the Gospel is Achieved by God Moving in the Hearts of Faithful Partners

Year by year, I am thrilled to watch how God expands his outreach into new villages where no one has ever heard of Jesus. On more than one occasion, I have received the answer, “None,” when I had asked one of our church planters, “How many Christian were in that place when you first went to share the gospel?” The faithfulness of indigenous pastors traveling into the remote villages and mountain towns to bring the Good News to people is astounding. To pray for such faithful servants of the Lord is a tremendous privilege.

The Generosity of Our Partners Produces Thanksgiving

The donations we receive are used to support the ministry of churches that generously respond to needy people. When Impoverished families receive the blessing of modest gifts of kindness, it causes them to celebrate in thanks to our heavenly Father. The delivery of these gifts is made in Jesus’ name.

Analyzing Our Past Brings Renewed Energy to Fulfill the Great Commission

Throughout all the years of my ministry, whether as an associate pastor, or as a senior pastor, or now as the President of White Fields, I have always recognized the importance of evaluating our ministry’s progress by looking back at the year just passed. We need to look at the results we are achieving and determine that we are engaged in the activities that bring glory and honor to our Lord. God has given us biblical guidance for what he expects us to accomplish, and we need to rely on his grace to give us strength. But we also need to ensure that we are staying on course and that we don’t get sidetracked with the inconsequential business that ultimately will not achieve the right goals.

Merry Christmas!

We celebrate with immense joy during this season that we remember the birth of Jesus Christ. The reason we are joyful for his birth is that Jesus was God in the flesh. He was born as a human at just the right time so that he could live his perfect life and then lay down his life, providing the payment for our sin. That is the wonder of his love.

The Powerful Motivation of True Convictions

When you truly believe something, you will defend it and prove it to anyone willing to listen. Even when you are facing persecution from other people, you will still share if you genuinely believe. We watch that happen among our pastors regularly. In Myanmar, eighty-five percent of the population are Buddhists. Some of those people are merely following the religion that they grew up hearing from their parents. However, some are zealous and persecute our churches, and they fight against every other religion.

God Keeps Changing Lives in Extraordinary Ways

The enemy can throw every hurdle in the way of our pastors, but God keeps moving in the hearts of the people who hear the Good News. Governments placed restrictions that kept churches from gathering, but God continually opens new opportunities for pastors to minister to the people of their community.

Healing the Body, Soul, and Mind

The gospel ministry brings hope for eternal life through faith in Jesus, the transformation of communities by the influence of new believers being salt and light, and healing through medicine and counseling. There is a wholeness to how the Scriptures bring new life to everyone touched by church members’ obedience. They turn away from the darkness and walk in truth and light. They no longer seek the input of witchdoctors but instead trust the doctor at the Medical Center.

The gospel brings healing to the soul. Everyone has come short of the glory of God and rightly deserves eternal punishment and separation from God. But through the gracious mercy of the Lord, He provided the atonement for our sin. The pastors in our ministry boldly and courageously proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The new believer’s eternal state is now secured, and they have the life-transforming power of the gospel changing their life every day until they reach their final day of life on this earth. But the ministry does not stop there. The diligent study of the Scriptures will entirely transform every new believer’s life. Additionally, The Medical Center provides treatment for physical ailments, so there are healthier futures for all the family members.

Magnificent Progress Made on the Construction of the Graceland School Classrooms

Every construction project requires coordination on many different aspects of the job. Workers cannot just start putting rocks into a row without a plan. The preparation is essential. We are also grateful for the vision our partners have, so the funding for a project like this is available. Watch the video to see the progress.

The Current Need for Theological Education in Africa

One of the most compelling facts about the state of present-day Christianity is that it is growing by leaps and bounds in the third world. A growing number of observers clearly recognize, for example, the fact of the explosion of the church in the poorest continent on earth: Africa. For example, Drs. Mark Shaw and Steve Morad of Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya, concurred in a slightly dated documentary by the Africa Inland Mission (AIM), that the African Church might be the most dynamic church in the world today (Leadership Development: Africa Inland Mission CD, 2003).

Moving Forward

The methodology of White Fields causes us to always look for the next village to plant a church. Our team on the ground analyzes how to move us toward the farthest fringe where people do not have a witness for the gospel. The local leadership finds the avenue to introduce the gospel to these needy people.
