Throughout the Scriptures, God communicates that he is moving forward with the plan of redemption. Sometimes, unveiling the details looks “new” to human observers. But, if we believe in God’s promises, we will be ready as his incredible plan comes to fruition. We continue to stand alongside our pastors proclaiming the gospel until our hope is fully realized.

Updates from the Field – Uganda
White Fields President Steve Wheeler recently visited our churches in Uganda and traveled out to all our churches in the rural villages with our Field Director, Pastor Onesimus. This oversight and ministry was an opportunity to teach the church leaders and give counsel as the new churches get established.
Steve Wheeler met with pastors and wives who give oversight to multiple churches in their geographical zone. This is a way to give leadership over many new churches as the ministry expands into further reaching villages:

The pictures below show in our best way the smiles brought when relief comes to those in desperate need. Following the Devastating Typhoon Odetta, our partners in North America responded with prayers and financial support. Our main office quickly transferred funds to our office in the Philippines, and Pastor Cris organized our church leaders to distribute the relief to the hardest-hit areas.

The Continual Spread of the Gospel is Achieved by God Moving in the Hearts of Faithful Partners
Year by year, I am thrilled to watch how God expands his outreach into new villages where no one has ever heard of Jesus. On more than one occasion, I have received the answer, “None,” when I had asked one of our church planters, “How many Christian were in that place when you first went to share the gospel?” The faithfulness of indigenous pastors traveling into the remote villages and mountain towns to bring the Good News to people is astounding. To pray for such faithful servants of the Lord is a tremendous privilege.

The Generosity of Our Partners Produces Thanksgiving
The donations we receive are used to support the ministry of churches that generously respond to needy people. When Impoverished families receive the blessing of modest gifts of kindness, it causes them to celebrate in thanks to our heavenly Father. The delivery of these gifts is made in Jesus’ name.

Analyzing Our Past Brings Renewed Energy to Fulfill the Great Commission
Throughout all the years of my ministry, whether as an associate pastor, or as a senior pastor, or now as the President of White Fields, I have always recognized the importance of evaluating our ministry’s progress by looking back at the year just passed. We need to look at the results we are achieving and determine that we are engaged in the activities that bring glory and honor to our Lord. God has given us biblical guidance for what he expects us to accomplish, and we need to rely on his grace to give us strength. But we also need to ensure that we are staying on course and that we don’t get sidetracked with the inconsequential business that ultimately will not achieve the right goals.

Merry Christmas!
We celebrate with immense joy during this season that we remember the birth of Jesus Christ. The reason we are joyful for his birth is that Jesus was God in the flesh. He was born as a human at just the right time so that he could live his perfect life and then lay down his life, providing the payment for our sin. That is the wonder of his love.

When you truly believe something, you will defend it and prove it to anyone willing to listen. Even when you are facing persecution from other people, you will still share if you genuinely believe. We watch that happen among our pastors regularly. In Myanmar, eighty-five percent of the population are Buddhists. Some of those people are merely following the religion that they grew up hearing from their parents. However, some are zealous and persecute our churches, and they fight against every other religion.
