Eager students devour the Word. That is what I encountered in Rukungiri, Uganda. Arriving at our humble classroom (plastic chairs, no desks, huddled in the back corner of the auditorium) we engaged for eight hours a day studying the Bible. Their laps were full of notebooks, Bibles, and extra paper. They had questions from beginning to end. They didn’t want to quit. These are the kind of students a teacher seeks to fill the classroom. They were gripped by the subject that would help them defend the truth of the Scriptures against imposters parading through their communities claiming to be “prophets” with a message from God. “Learning how to interpret the Bible has put me in a position to defend against false prophets,” the testimony of one of the students. Now is a great time to gather and hear about what God is doing through the ministry of national pastors starting churches around the world. We have several events scheduled this Fall. Since 1953 White Fields has provided collaborative start-up support to pastors planting local churches among their own people in other parts of the world. You can join us at one of these events to hear about the impact this mission is having in extremely poor communities. Hear the testimonies of new believers that have come to faith and joined the church.
For the last few weeks our Director Steve Wheeler has been serving with our Country Director Onesimus in the southwestern town of Rukungiri, Uganda!
We have seen remarkable progress in the bolstering of the local church here! In Katobo we have been building a house for a member of the church named Christine. Christine suffered for many years from demonic oppression, as a part of this oppression she often had seizures which would leave her unconscious for minutes or even hours. As she was preparing dinner one night she had a seizure and fell face first into a fire. Her face was badly burned and scarred, from this episode, her family and friends despised and rejected Christine sending her away. Desiring to be free from this oppression she ran to Gods Embassy church where Onesimus pastors. Christine became a believer in Jesus and faithfully serves in the local church, she has a new family of friends that love her! [Read more…] about Uganda Outreach 2016

Two Born-Again Jewish Brothers, Together, After 38 Years
— The brothers have been “Born-Again” Bible Believing Christians for 38 years. They are the first in their Jewish Heritage to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. —
